Pots for Ivey and Kempe

Niveau 10 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

On the tail end of a battle of the blinds between Phil Ivey and Matthias Eibinger, the former bet the {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{4-Spades} river for 500,000 and Eibinger called. Ivey rolled over {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Eibinger mucked.

One hand later, Rainer Kempe opened to 250,000 first to act and Chin Wei Lim called out of the big blind. On a {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop, Lim checked and folded when facing a bet of 500,000 by Kempe.

Kahle Burns

Just moments after Kahle Burns doubled up through Paul Phua with {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} versus {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} thanks to a {5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} board, the two were back it again. This time, Paul Phua was the player at risk for 2,600,000.

Paul Phua: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Kahle Burns: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Phua held on for a double up. Burns still came out as the winner through the two exchanges.

Late Registration is Closed

Niveau 11 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Tony G and Cary Katz were the last two players to sneak in another entry before the late registration period closed. That brings the total number of entries to 30 with just 21 players remaining. When the field gets down to 16 players, there will be a two-table redraw.

Kempe Takes From Foxen

Niveau 11 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Over on table 38, James Chen remains the overwhelming chip leader while Matthias Eibinger and Phil Ivey chipped up.

Alex Foxen and Rainer Kempe dropped to a short stack and were just involved in a battle of the blinds.

Kempe led the {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop for 160,000 and Foxen called. After the {7-Diamonds} turn, Kempe bet 900,000 and Foxen used one time bank extension before making the call.

Kempe bet the {5-Diamonds} river for 2,075,000 with one T-5,000 chip behind after using one time bank himself and Foxen folded.

Filatov Takes Down Adams

Niveau 11 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Anatoly Filatov and Timothy Adams
Anatoly Filatov and Timothy Adams

Anatoly Filatov opened to 320,000 in the hijack and Timothy Adams shoved all in for 1,185,000 in the cutoff. The action was back on Filatov who gave it some thought before making the call for seven big blinds.

Anatoly Filatov: {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Timothy Adams: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Filatov was slightly ahead with his ace-high and the flop of {6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} changed nothing. The {8-Spades} on the turn and the {5-Diamonds} on the river also missed Adams and he was eliminated.

Danny Tang: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Adrian Mateos: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Richard Yong opened to 450,000 and Anatoly Filatov called on the button. Adrian Mateos pushed for fewer than the starting stack out of the small blind and Yong folded, Filatov called.

Anatoly Filatov: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Adrian Mateos: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

The board came {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and Filatov doubled for 4,570,000, which left Mateos on just 235,000.

After the hand, Yong explained he had miss-clicked and thought it was a big blind of 200,000 already.

Kisacikoglu Gets Raised

Niveau 11 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Richard Yong opened to 350,000 from under the gun and was called by Christoph Vogelsang on his left and Orpen Kisacikoglu in the big blind. The flop came {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and the action checked to Vogelsang who bet 500,000. Kisacikoglu and Yong both called.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds} and all three players checked to the {7-Clubs} on the river. Kisacikoglu slid out a bet of 2,000,000 which prompted a quick fold from Yong. Vogelsang bumped it up to 5,900,000 and Kisacikoglu wasted little time before sending his cards to the muck.

In the next hand, Adrian Mateos was all in with {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} against the {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} of Yong. Mateos was at risk for just over 700,000 and an ace on the flop was enough to secure him the double up.
