Katz Takes From Chen

Niveau 13 : 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante

Just before the end of the level, Cary Katz defended the big blind against a button raise by James Chen and check-raised the {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop from 375,000 to 1,000,000. Chen called and both checked the {5-Diamonds} turn and {2-Spades} river. Katz flipped over the {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and that won the pot.

Chen Still Stacking Chips

Niveau 13 : 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante

Paul Phua opened to 500,000 from under the gun and James Chen called from the big blind. The two players saw a flop of {k-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Chen check-called a bet of 500,000 from Phua.

The turn was the {9-Spades} and both players checked to the {a-Hearts} on the river. Chen checked for the third time and Phua threw in a bet of 1,300,000. Chen check-raised to 4,800,000 and Phua was not pleased with how things turned out. Phua used one of his time extensions before finally deciding to lay his hand down.

Vogelsang Widens the Gap on the Feature Table

Niveau 13 : 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante
Christoph Vogelsang
Christoph Vogelsang

Christoph Vogelsang raised to 480,000 in early position and Chin Wei Lim called out of the big blind. The flop came {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Lim checked to Vogelsang who bet 350,000. Lim called and the {8-Hearts} on the turn put four hearts on the board.

Lim checked again and Vogelsang opted to see the {4-Clubs} on the river for free. Both players tapped the table once more and Lim showed {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for two pair. Vogelsang held the only heart with {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and scooped the pot.

Another Double for Katz

Niveau 13 : 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante
Cary Katz
Cary Katz

Cary Katz bumped it up to 500,000 in the cutoff and was called by Anatoly Filatov on the button and Ryan Riess in the big blind. The flop came {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Riess checked. Katz shipped all in for nearly three times the pot. Filatov asked for a count and was informed that it was 5,375,000. Filatov called and Riess quickly folded.

Cary Katz: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}
Anatoly Filatov: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Katz flopped a straight but Filatov was drawing live to a bigger one. The {10-Clubs} on the turn and the {4-Spades} on the river ensured Katz of yet another double up.

"Where did you learn that move from?" Matthias Eibinger asked.

"Cary's fucked up site," Katz responded. "Oh, no. PokerCode, I mean. That's what I meant to say."

Danny Tang
Danny Tang

Matthias Eibinger raised the button and Danny Tang three-bet shove for around 3.5 million, Eibinger snap-called.

Danny Tang: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}
Matthias Eibinger: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Tang asked for spades but his wish wasn't granted on a {10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} board to send Tang to the rail in 14th place.

Tang Jams; Eibinger Chips Up

Niveau 13 : 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante

Ryan Riess limped the button and Danny Tang did so from the small blind, James Chen checked in the big blind. On the {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop the trio checked and Tang jammed the {q-Diamonds} turn for 1,305,000, both opponents folded.

Matthias Eibinger opened to 480,000 the next hand and Paul Phua called from the big blind. On a {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop, Phua checked and called a continuation bet worth 900,000 to see the {a-Diamonds} turn. Phua checked and a quick bet of 2,080,000 did the trick for Eibinger.

Riess Doubles Through Katz

Niveau 13 : 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante
Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

Ryan Riess raised to 500,000 in early position and was called by Paul Phua on the button. Cary Katz three-bet shoved all in for 7,730,000 from the small blind and Riess stuck in the last of his 4,350,000 chips. Phua quickly folded and the two hands were tabled.

Ryan Riess: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Cary Katz: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Riess had Katz pipped by one pocket pair and that proved to be enough on the board of {k-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Riess doubled up to an average stack while Katz fell to one of the short stacks.

Lim Doubles Through Nitsche; Busts Badziakouski

Niveau 13 : 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante
Chin Wei Lim
Chin Wei Lim

Dominik Nitsche raised from the hijack and called the shove of Chin Wei Lim for 2,800,000 in the big blind.

Chin Wei Lim: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Dominik Nitsche: {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}

The board came {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Lim doubled.

One hand later, Christoph Vogelsang raised to 480,000 with the {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Mikita Badziakouski moved all in for 1,855,000. Lim just called in the small blind and Phil Ivey mucked {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} after a few seconds in the big blind, as did Vogelsang.

Mikita Badziakouski: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Chin Wei Lim: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

The board came {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{a-Spades}{10-Spades} and Badziakouski was drawing dead on the turn to reduce the field to the final 14 players.
