Thirteen full hours were needed for Event #7: €1,100 Turbo Bounty Hunter No-Limit Hold'em to finish here at King's Resort for the 2019 World Series of Poker Europe. Czech Republic's Tomas Fara managed to complete a stunning comeback from just one big blind to win his first gold bracelet along with €59,904 in prize money plus the bounties.

To achieve this, Fara had to overcome a couple of big names in the final table such as German high roller Manig Loeser and bracelet winners Anson Tsang and Phil Hui. Shaun Deeb finished in 13th place, enough to take over the top spot from Robert Campbell in the hotly-contested 2019 WSOP Player of the Year race.

Final Table
2019 WSOPE Turbo Bounty Hunter Final Table

At 4 p.m. it was time for the seventh bracelet event of the festival to start. All the big names that are here at King's Resort took their seats in this event sooner or later, hunting their chances to win a turbo bracelet. Notables such as Martin Kabrhel, Joao Vieira, Ryan Riess, Chris Ferguson, Viktor Blom, Rainer Kempe, Daniel Negreanu, Alex Foxen, and Ismael Bojang all registered but didn't cash.

After 12 levels of late registrations, a total of 377 entries were made, only ten shy of last year's 387 entries. Pawel Zawadowicz was the bubble, leaving 58 players to cash at least €1,099. Among the players that headed to the cashier after their elimination were Eyal Bensimhon (53rd - €1,163), Denis Drobina (50th - €1,163), Phil Hellmuth (40th - €1,267), Sam Grafton (36th - €1,418) recent two-time bracelet winner Dash Dudley (30th - €1,418) and Pierre Neuville (24th - €1,631).

Deeb Takes Over POY Lead

Shaun Deeb managed to rack up yet another cash at the 2019 WSOPE and ended up in 13th place for €2,329. The tiny score brought enough points to surpass Robert Campbell in the 2019 WSOP Player of the Year race, which is still hotly contested with several hopefuls, including Negreanu, jockeying for the top spot.

Another big name that fell just short of the final table was Dzmitry Urbanovich. As was one of the shortest stacks of the field, he shoved all in under the gun with ace-jack offsuit, only to get called by Manig Loeser with ace-king. Loeser started the final table as one of the top stacks and saw Giorgiy Skhulukhiya and Julian Selinger quickly fall by the wayside to leave the field with seven.

Phil Hui, an outsider in the WSOP POY race, was gunning for his third WSOP bracelet but his run stopped in seventh place. He shoved from early position with king-nine, only for David Elyashar to wake up with kings and leave the field six-handed. Bosnian Nisan Muratovic, one of the big stacks, then eliminated Arturs Scerbaks in sixth.

Fara Spins it Up From One Big Blind

For Fara, his bracelet dream seemed all but over after taking a big hit to his stack by losing ace-king versus Loeser's ace-queen when a queen hit the flop, and the Czech was left with just one big blind. However, he still had a chip and a chair, and after escaping with pocket fours against pocket tens, as well as hitting with ten-six against pocket eights, Fara was right back in it. Those eights belonged to bracelet winner Anson Tsang, who was left with five bigs after that hand and shortly busted after.

Fara then sent Elyashar to the rail by winning fives against king-ten to complete the comeback. Three-handed, it was Loeser who took the lead after holding with queens in a big pot, possessing over 50% of the chips in play at one point. But with the rapidly escalating blinds, Loeser dropped back after losing several all ins and ultimately ended up in third after shoving queen-jack in Fara's ace-deuce and not improving.

Heads-up, Fara started with a commanding lead of over 3:1 and ended it in five hands. In the final hand, Fara shoved with king-queen and Muratovic called with ten-eight. The board drew blanks for the Bosnian and Fara comeback his miracle comeback from one big blind to with the WSOP bracelet.

Nisad Muratovic Eliminated in 2nd Place (€37,004)

Niveau 34 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Nisad Muratovic
Nisad Muratovic

Tomas Fara jammed all in on the button and Nisad Muratovic flicked in a chip to call from the big blind. Muratovic was down to just 1,825,000, just over seven big blinds.

Tomas Fara: {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Nisad Muratovic: {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

Muratovic got it in with two live cards but the flop of {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades} favored Fara who held the preflop lead. The {5-Diamonds} changed nothing on the turn and the river brought the {3-Hearts}. Muratovic whiffed on the board and Fara's king-high was enough to earn him the victory and his first WSOP gold bracelet.

A full recap of the tournament and final table results will be posted shortly.

Manig Loeser
Manig Loeser

The action was on Manig Loeser in the small blind who shoved all in for 2,325,000. Tomas Fara asked for a count in the big blind and then made the call to put Loeser's tournament life on the line.

Tomas Fara: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Manig Loeser: {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Loeser had two live cards and the flop of {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades} gave a him a few extra outs as well. The {k-Diamonds} on the turn was no help and the {9-Spades} paired the board on the river. Loeser was eliminated in third place and Fara now holds a healthy chip lead.

Manig Loeser went from chipleader to short stack and he just doubled again. The blinds are very big compared to the stacks and basically the game is shove-or-fold now.

In the last all in situation, it was Fara who shoved from the button to get called by Loeser in the big blind.

Tomas Fara: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}
Manig Loeser: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The board brought {q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Loeser doubled up.

Muratovic Out-Flops Loeser

Niveau 33 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Manig Loeser announced all in on the button as the big stack and Nisad Muratovic was the short stack in the big blind. Muratovic called off his stack of 1,625,000 and the cards were on their backs.

Nisad Muratovic: {k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Manig Loeser: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}

The flop came {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Muratovic hit a pair of nines to take the lead. The {4-Spades} on the turn narrowly missed Loeser and the {8-Spades} on the river was no help either.

Niveau 32 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Manig Loeser won a crucial pot against Nisad Muratovic and took the lead in the three-handed affair. Loeser opened to 350,000 preflop and Muratovic defended from the big blind.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Spades} and Loeser bet again 350,000, with Muratovic check-shoving all in. Loeser snap-called with {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} and he was against {q-Hearts}{10-Spades} of Muratovic for an open-ended straight draw.

The {5-Spades} on the turn and the {10-Clubs} on the river held the lead for Loeser's overpair and is now the chip leader of the final table.

David Elyashar Eliminated in 4th Place (€17,172)

Niveau 32 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
David Elyashar
David Elyashar

The action folded to Tomas Fara in the small blind who eyed up David Elyashar's stack in the big blind. Fara announced all in and Elyashar instantly called off his stack of around 800,000.

Tomas Fara: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
David Elyashar: {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The flop fell {8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Fara made a set of fives to leave Elyashar only drawing live to a chop. The {10-Clubs} on the turn dashed those options and the {q-Hearts} was just a formality.
