Livingston's Shot at Another Deep Run Comes to an End

Niveau 13 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Alex Livingston
Alex Livingston

Alex Livingston was coming off his largest career tournament score when he made a deep run in the WSOP Main Event this summer in Las Vegas, ultimately finishing in third place. He was hoping to work some of that magic again at the WSOP Europe, but thanks to Anton Morgenstern, his tournament came to an end late on Day 2.

With around 75,000 chips in the middle already, the flop of {7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} was spread across the table. Livingston checked to Morgenstern who bet 35,000 and Livingston check-raised all in for 223,000.

"I have a good feeling about this one," Morgenstern spoke up before dropping in a call. Morgenstern showed {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} but was behind Livingston's {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

His good feeling came true on the {8-Spades} turn card as Morgenstern made a straight. Livingston wasn't drawing dead yet with two pair but the {q-Clubs} on the river spelled an end to his WSOP Europe Main Event.

Vieira Gets Three Streets

Niveau 13 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Joao Vieira raised it up in the cutoff and was called by two players. The flop fell {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and the action checked to Vieira who continued for 11,000. Manuel Bulut in the small blind was the only one who stuck around after the flop.

The turn brought the {5-Clubs} and Bulut check-called another bet of 38,000 from Vieira. The {q-Spades} completed the board and Bulut checked for the third time. Triple Up for Filatov

Niveau 13 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Martin Kabrhel raised to 10,000 and Tomas Knespl three-bet to 40,000, Anatoly Filatov called all in for 38,000 and Filatov called.

The two remaining active players checked the {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop and {4-Spades} turn. Kabrhel min-bet the {8-Diamonds} river for 6,000 and Knespl folded.

Filatov showed {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Kabrhel was second-best with the {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

Right after Jack Sinclair was moved to the vacant seat next to Kabrhel and brought his hippo with him.

Filatov remarked "small hippo small stack, big hippo big stack" as Kabrhel's hippo was sitting on a big pile of chips.
