Zinno's Kicker Plays

Niveau 27 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Anthony Zinno opened to 275,000 from the cutoff and Alexandros Kolonias called from the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs} that was checked through to the {j-Diamonds} turn and the {4-Diamonds} river. Kolonias took a few seconds of reflection then threw in a bet of 500,000 that Zinno instantly called. Kolonias tabled {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} but Zinno turned over {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} to win the pot with his his better kicker.

Kolonias Takes From Madsen

Niveau 27 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Over on the outer table, Alexandros Kolonias raised to 360,000 in the small blind and Jakob Madsen made the call in the big blind. On the {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop, Kolonias made it 300,000 to go and Madsen called before doing so again after the {j-Diamonds} turn when facing a second barrel worth 900,000.

The {2-Clubs} on the river proved to be an action killer as both opted to check. Kolonias tabled {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for top two pair and dragged in the pot.
