The Final Table is Set in Event #11: €1,650 NLH 6-Max

Niveau 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Tony Tran
Tony Tran

The official final table has been set in Event #11: €1,650 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Max after just nine hours on Day 2. Tony Tran will lead the way when the action resumes tomorrow after bagging up a healthy stack of 5,080,000 chips.

All six of the remaining players have outlasted a field of 535 entries that created a prize pool of €762,375. They have each locked up at least €22,410 but will have their sights set on the top prize of €158,616. Also, they will each be in search of taking home their first World Series of Poker gold bracelet.

Tran vaulted to the chip lead just shortly after the money bubble burst and he confirmed himself as the leader after clashing with Zlatin Penev in one of the final hands of the night. Tran put his entire stack at risk but got a fold from Penev that vaulted the American to over 5,000,000 chips.

He will be joined at the final table by local Czech poker pros Josef Snejberg (4,005,000) and Jan Bednar (1,820,000). Both Snejberg and Bednar have an accomplished resume here at King's Resort but this would go down as their biggest wins to date. Simone Andrian (4,450,000), Norbert Baumgartner (3,785,000), and Penev (2,240,000) round out the remaining six players.

Day 2 Action

There were 91 players who returned to their seats for Day 2 which kicked off at 10 a.m. local time. They were 10 spots off the money but it didn't take long for the bubble to be reached. Just halfway into the first level, the clock was paused for the hand-for-hand portion of the tournament. Unfortunately for Henning Andre, his pocket kings were cracked by Tran's queen-deuce when Tran hit running queens on the turn and the river.

Some notables that hit the rail after guaranteeing at least a min-cash include Jessica Teusl, Pete Chen, Mykola Kostyrko, Michal Mrakes, Tobias Peters, Stuart Rutter, and Merijn van Rooij. Julien Sitbon and Fahredin Mustafov exited the tournament in the final two tables and it was Vadzim Lipauka who was eliminated on the final table bubble.

The players will return tomorrow at 12 p.m. noon local time on the feature table. The live stream will be broadcast starting at 6:30 p.m. at which point the live updates will commence. The blinds will resume on level 27 at 40,000/80,000 and a big blind ante of 80,000 and will increase in 40-minute increments.

Keep it locked in as the PokerNews live reporting team brings you all of the updates en route to crowning a new WSOP Europe champion.

The action folded to Norbert Baumgartner in the small blind who shoved all in. Mark McMillin was in the big blind with a little under 1,000,000 chips and called off his stack.

Mark McMillin: {a-}{2-}
Norbert Baumgartner: {k-Hearts}{2-Spades}

McMillin was in a great position to double up until the river. Unfortunately for him, a king hit the river to give Baumgartner the best hand McMillin was eliminated.

Sen made the call and was at risk.

Orhan Sen: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Josef Snejberg: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The flop was safe for Sen {j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades} but the {a-Diamonds} on the turn gave the lead to Snejberg and the {2-Diamonds} sent Sen to the rail.

Fahredin Mustafov

The action folded to Fahredin Mustafov in the small blind who just limped in. Josef Snejberg announced all in from the big blind and Mustafov quickly called off his stack of around 1,700,000.

Fahredin Mustafov: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Josef Snejberg: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}

It quickly turned into one of the largest pots of the tournament thus far. The flop came {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} which changed Snejberg cheering for an eight instead of a five now. The {2-Spades} hit the turn and the {8-Spades} landed on the river. Snejberg rivered a straight and sent Mustafov home in 10th place.

Josef Snejberg raised to 100,000 on the button and Demetrio Caminita moved all in for 860,000 in the small blind. The big blind folded and Snejberg instantly called to put Caminita at risk.

Demetrio Caminita: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Josef Snejberg: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The flop came {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Snejberg took a huge lead with a pair of aces. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn left Caminita drawing dead to the {q-Hearts} on the river.

Ugo Faggioli shoved all in for just over 200,000 on the button and Julien Stibon had an easy call from the big blind.

Ugo Faggioli: {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Julien Sitbon: {k-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

Sitbon was in a dominating position and the flop of {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Spades} left it that way. The {2-Diamonds} on the turn and the {10-Diamonds} on the river provided no help to Faggioli who was eliminated.

Sonny Franco was all-in preflop and at risk against Demetrio Camivita.

Franco was in a good shape as he had {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Camivita {a-Spades}{5-Spades}.

The flop {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{j-Spades} however put Camivita in the lead and the {6-Spades} turn and the {5-Hearts} river didn't change that, so Franco was out of the tournament.
