Michal Mrakes
Michal Mrakes

Picking up the action on a board of {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades} with 34,500 in the pot, Michal Mrakes, in the big blind, bet 25,500 on the river. Andelic tossed in a chip for a call.

Mrakes turned over {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} but it was no good versus Andelic's {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

On the table adjacent, Hamoun Habibi has amassed a host of chips. To his right is David Hu who has around 90,000 in their stack.

Savinelli Can't Connect

Niveau 7 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Carlo Savinelli
Carlo Savinelli

Carlo Savinelli played back to back hands midway through Level 7 to try and build on his good start to Day 1a.

Picking up on the {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds} board with around 15,000 in the middle, Zhong Chen bet 6,800 and Savinelli called in the big blind. Action went check-check on the {8-Spades} river. Savinelli pointed to the dealer that Chen would scoop the pot but was forced to show his {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} which was no good against Chen's {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

The very next hand, Savinelli three-bet from the small blind to 14,100 after it was raised preflop by Martin Paap, which was also called by Carlo Citrone. Paap mucked and Citrone called.

Both players checked the {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop, Savinelli check-called a bet of 8,600 on the {3-Clubs} turn. The {7-Diamonds} river was checked through, Savinelli turned over {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} which was bested by Citrone's {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}.

Hamoun Habibi
Hamoun Habibi

Giuseppe Positano was already gone from the table but his {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} were still open on the table while the dealer was counting out his stack.

Hamoun Habibi's stack of 160,700 was already dissected while his {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} were revealed in front of him. The board read {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts} to show that Habibi had flopped a set to bust Positano.

Stagliano Turns the Flush to Double Up

Niveau 6 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The flop read {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} with around 46,000 in the middle.

Both Andrea Fumagalli in the under-the-gun position and Heinrich Pauker in the middle position had checked. Cristiano Linari had bet 13,500 from the late position for Giovanni Stagliano to shove for 44,000. Fumagalli and Pauker quickly folded but Linari needed some more time. He talked through his options and then put in some chips for the call with the bigger stack.

Giovanni Stagliano: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Cristiano Linari: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Stagliano had flopped the nut-flush draw while Linari held the overpair.

The turn was the {3-Spades} for Stagliano to hit his flush and celebrate while the river completed the board with the {6-Hearts} to seal the deal.
