Day 1b of the Event #14: €10,350 WSOPE Main Event gets underway at King's Resort, Rozvadov on Saturday, December 4 at 10 a.m. CET and is the second and last starting flight for this event.

Yesterday's action saw 434 entries with 277 making it to Sunday's, December 5 Day 2.

Day 1a drew a prizepool of more than €4,000,000 which is very close to the €5,000,000 guarantee. Although, today a smaller field is expected, it looks like the guarantee will be surpassed.

Austria's Daniel Rezaei bagged the chip lead, moving onto the next stage of the event with a stack of 617,500. Many notables continue on Day 2 like Ole Schemion, previous WSOPE Main Event champions, Alexandros Kolonias and Jack Sinclair and 2019 WSOP Main Event champion Hossein Ensan.

Like Day 1a, levels will last 90 minutes and Day 1b will wrap up after 7 levels of play. Blinds begin at 100-300 with a 300 big blind ante, players have the right for a single re-entry and late registration remains open into Day 2 on Sunday, December 5, 2021.

First Major Pot Goes to Fischer

Niveau 1 : 100/300, 300 ante

Three players were still in the hand on the turn with the board reading {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. Cedric Schwaederle led out with a bet of 2,700 into a pot of 4,000. Johannes Grootelaar called as did Manuel Fischer on the button.

The {5-Spades} paired the board on the river and the action checked to Fischer who bet 7,500. Schwaederle quickly folded but Grootelaar called after a minute of thinking. Fischer turned over {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for trip fives and raked in the first major pot of the day.

Small Pot for Schulz

Niveau 1 : 100/300, 300 ante

As the tournament has a very slow structure, players are very conservative in the beginning.

In one of the hands, Andrej Cintula raised to 800 from middle position to get a call from Christian Schulz in the big blind.

The flop came {k-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and after the check of Schulz, Cintula bet 1,000 to earn a call from his opponent.

The turn was the {9-Spades} and both players checked.

The river was the {a-Diamonds} and Schulz led for 2,600 and took the pot down as his opponent folded.

Vogelsang Takes a Hit

Niveau 1 : 100/300, 300 ante

Gerardus Englebert raised from the hijack to 900 and Christoph Vogelsang made it 3,000 from the button.

Englebert then raised to 7,900 and Vogelsang called.

The flop came {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Englebert bet 11,500 which Vogelsang called.

The turn was the {k-Hearts} and both players checked as they did on the {6-Diamonds} river.

Englebert turned over {a-Clubs}{a-Spades} for pocket aces to take down the pot as Vogelsang mucked his cards.

Vrakas Scoops a Multi-Way Pot

Niveau 1 : 100/300, 300 ante

Three players saw a flop of {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and the action checked to Eric Lange on the button who threw in a bet. Georgios Vrakas called from the big blind and Stefano Galfione check-raised to 5,200. Lange and Vrakas both stuck around to see the {8-Diamonds} on the turn.

It checked to Lange again who tossed in a bet of 7,000. Vrakas and Galfione just called this time and the {10-Diamonds} landed on the river. With four diamonds on the board, the action halted as all three players checked. Galfione showed {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a set of sevens but Vrakas had the best hand with {j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a flush.
