Ben Heath
Ben Heath

Quan Zhou had raised to 35,000 and Ben Heath then jammed the button for what appeared to be 415,000. Fahredin Mustafov went all-in over the top from the big blind and Zhou eventually called all-in.

Ben Heath: KJ
Quan Zhou: JJ
Fahredin Mustafov: AK

The pocket pair held on a board of 976105 and Heath was eliminated, while Zhou doubled through Mustafov for 690,000. Having secured the pot, Zhou vaulted out of his chair and banged on the table in celebration.

Lin Wins With "Natural Nine"

Niveau 9 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Ren Lin
Ren Lin

Ren Lin limped in from under the gun before Gab Yong Kim raised to 41,000 from the next seat over. The action then folded to Teun Mulder in the big blind, who made the call. Lin put in the extra chips as well, and a flop of 67K was put on the felt.

It checked to Kim, who made a tiny bet of 19,000 chips. It was not big enough to scare away either Mulder or Lin, as they both called. The 6 then fell and Mulder led out for 70,000. Again, all three contenders stayed in the pot, as both of his opponents made the call.

On the 8 river, Mulder slowed down and checked, causing Lin to make a bet of 235,000. Kim pondered his options for a while but eventually made the call, after which Mulder snap called.

"Natural nine!", Lin exclaimed as he tabled his 63 for trips. Mulder threw his cards into the muck and the big pot was shipped Lin's way.

Kisacikoglu Eliminated by Dvoress

Niveau 9 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Orpen Kisacikoglu
Orpen Kisacikoglu

Orpen Kisacikoglu squeezed to 160,000 over an initial raise to 27,000 and two callers. That forced out Adrian Mateos but Daniel Dvoress then pushed all-in. Leonard Maue folded and it was back on Kisacikoglu, who had no time banks remaining.

Eventually, the defending champion shrugged and called it off.

Orpen Kisacikoglu: AJ
Daniel Dvoress: QQ

The 888 flop gave Kisacikoglu one more out to stay alive but the 3 turn and 2 river bricked off.

Kisacikoglu quickly counted his stack, to which the dealer responded "he has more".

Kisacikoglu was aware of that and just tried to figure out how much he was all-in for before departing the tournament area. The stack size preflop was seemingly just shy of 700,000.

Nacho Barbero
Nacho Barbero

In a single-raised three-way pot to the Q769 turn, Nacho Barbero in the small blind and Teun Mulder in the big blind checked. Ioannis Angelou-Konstas bet 51,000 in the hijack and Barbero then check-raised to 225,000.

Mulder squeezed it up to 385,000 and that forced out Angelou-Konstas.

Barbero was visibly upset but eventually piled in his shorter stack.

"Straight," Mulder declared as he flipped over the 85. Barbero needed a heart with the A2 but bricked the K river to hit the rail.

In the meanwhile, Santhosh Suvarna re-entered as the field reached 17 players out of 19 entries.

Santhosh Suvarna
Santhosh Suvarna

Santhosh Suvarna checked the heads-up turn of QJ84 and then faced a bet worth 75,000 by Leonard Maue. What followed was the shove by Suvarna for around 240,000 and Maue instantly called.

Santhosh Suvarna: K10
Leonard Maue: 44

The turned set of fours left Suvarna on the ropes as he needed an ace or nine to survive. Neither came with the 7 river and that sent Suvarna to the rail.

Chidwick Takes Two in a Row for the Chip Lead

Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Stephen Chidwick was involved in a pot with Nacho Barbero. Barbero checked from the big blind on a board of 2AKQ and Chidwick put a 150,000 bet in the pot of 160,000. Barbero made the call and the 4 river completed the board.

Chidwick checked behind once Barbero had done so first, and Barbero tabled A7 for top pair. Chidwick hat that beat with his A2 for two pair, and raked in the sizable pot.

One hand later, Gab Yong Kim raised from middle position and Chidwick three-bet to 50,000. The action folded back to Kim, who called. The flop was then dealt QJ5 and Kim check-folded to a continuation-bet of Chidwick, leaving himself as the shortest stack in the tournament.

Quan Zhou

Teun Mulder raised to 13,000 and Felipe Ketzer called. Tamas Adamszki then squeezed to 45,000 on the button only for Mulder to make it 160,000 to go. Ketzer folded and so did Adamszki.

Gab Yong Kim then opened to 14,000 and received no fewer than three callers. The Q97 flop saw Quan Zhou in the small blind and Mulder in the big blind check. Kim bet 38,000 to force out Ben Heath, Zhou called and Mulder folded.

After the A turn, Zhou check-called for 90,000 and opted to lead the 5 river for 255,000 with what appeared to be 280,000 behind.

Kim went deep into the tank and used four time bank extensions before folding.

Quan Zhou

Ben Heath raised and was called by Quan Zhou in the small blind, who then checked the J32 flop and called Heath's bet of 13,000. They checked the 6 turn and Zhou led the 5 river for 25,000.

Heath raised to 135,000 and Zhou went in the tank, after which Adrian Mateos called the clock on him. Before any count down was given, Zhou called and Heath had the best of it with the K4.

Tamas Adamszki then opened to 15,000 and Chris Brewer three-bet to 45,000 from one seat over. Zhou clicked it up to 129,000 and it folded back to Adamszki, who used one time bank before moving all-in.

Brewer folded and the same also applied for Zhou as well.

Suvarna Shortest After Three-Way Three-Bet Pot

Niveau 6 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Santhosh Suvarna
Santhosh Suvarna

In the last hand of the previous level, Santhosh Suvarna kicked off the action with a raise to 12,000 from middle position. Stephen Chidwick then made the call from the cutoff before Daniel Dvoress put in a three-bet to 60,000 from the button. Both Suvarna and Chidwick called, and the three saw a flop of 92K.

The action checked to Dvoress, who continued for another 60,000. This time, only Suvarna called as Chidwick got out of the way. The 8 turn fell and Suvarna checked again. Dvoress now put in a significantly larger bet of 225,000, and Suvarna once again made the call.

On the 9 river, Suvarna checked for a third time before Dvoress put the Indian player all-in for his 345,000 remaining chips. Suvarna thought it over for a bit, but settled on a fold and preserved the last of his chips.
