Zarbo Spikes the Flop on Rocco

Niveau 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Michael Rocco had three-bet to 24,000 on the button before Giuseppe Zarbo, in the hijack, moved all in for around 150,000. Rocco called to put him at risk.

Giuseppe Zarbo: QQ
Michael Rocco: KK

Zarbo was crushed by Rocco's kings until the flop brought 4QJ, shooting Zarbo into the lead with a set. Rocco picked up a straight draw on the 9 turn, but the 5 river was safe for Zarbo.

"Yes," he yelled out after securing the massive double up.

"I don't want to pay that," Rocco said with a laugh as the dealer began counting out his chips to hand over to Zarbo. "Nice hand, sir," he told Zarbo.

Roman Cieslik
Roman Cieslik

Roman Cieslik was sent to the rail and recalled his final hand, which was also confirmed by Robin Ylitalo on his former table.

According to Cieslik, he three-bet to 13,500 in the small blind and Maksim Vaskresenski called on the button. On the AJ6 flop, Cieslik continued for 17,800 to earn a call and check-jammed the A turn for 63,000, Vaskresenski called after he had bet 26,000.

Roman Cieslik: 66
Maksim Vaskresenski: A10

Cieslik had flopped bottom set yet he was left empty-handed when the J struck on the river as Vaskresenski improved to aces full of jacks.

Casagrande Sent Home by Lakerveld

Niveau 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Harald Casagrande checked from the big blind on a board of 105AK. Daniel Lakerveld then bet 20,000 from the button and Casagrande raised all in for roughly 75,000 chips.

Lakerveld called with the slightly covering stack and the cards went on their backs.

Harald Casagrande: K5
Daniel Lakerveld: QJ

A big cooler had occurred on the turn, as Casagrande obtained two pair, but Lakerveld had the better hand with the straight. Casagrande failed to pair up on the J river, and Lakerveld chipped up to just below an average stack.

Machado Shoves, Clock Called on Sterner

Niveau 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

With around 30,000 in the pot on a flop of 105K, Ludvig Sterner bet 14,000 in the big blind and Hugo Machado called on the button.

The turn came the 5 and Sterner checked to Machado, who bet 35,000. Sterner called and the 4 fell on the river.

Machado then moved all in for 104,500. Sterner, who barely had more remaining in his stack, tanked for nearly five minutes until the clock was called.

Sterner allowed the countdown nearly to reach zero before sliding his cards into the muck.

Once Hagström tabled his QQ, Paduano shrugged and sighed as he was caught on a move with the Q9.

The board ran out 101089A and that spelled the end for Paduano.

"Merry Christmas," Ermanno Di Nicola joked to the Swede.

Barbero Wins But Rues Missing Chips

Niveau 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Nacho Barbero and Fahredin Mustafov built a pot of around 40,000 heading to the turn on a board of 589A when Mustafov bet 14,000 from the cutoff.

Barbero called under the gun, then checked over to Mustafov on the A river. Mustafov quickly checked back.

Barbero began motioning for the dealer to push him the pot even before showing his cards. "Quads good," he said, eventually turning over AA.

"Every time with this hand," Mustafov said as he tossed KK into the muck.

"What a bad runout. I didn't double. Aces versus kings and I didn't double," Barbero lamented.
