Smuskovics' Rivered Flush Helps Him Chip Up

Samuel Albeck bet 1,500 from the button on the flop of Q65. Florian Sarnow folded out of the small blind but Daniel Smuskovics put in the call from the big blind.

Smuskovics check-called a bet of 3,300 from Albeck when the 2 came on the turn.

Both players checked the 10 river and Smuskovics tabled KKJ4 for a rivered flush to take down the pot, as Albeck showed 4x3x for a turned straight.

Ashelm Loses Against and With Aces

The action was caught on a completed board of 10KK8A. With 4,900 in the pot, Robert Ashelm checked under the gun to Oscar Ceron in middle position.

The latter fired a bet of 1,500, which Ashelm raised to 6,500. Ceron tossed in a quick call to see Ashelm table KJ1010 for kings full of tens. Ceron showed AA92 for aces full and raked in the pot with the better boat.

One hand later, Dwayne Sluis, Aleksandar Petrovic, and Ashelm each put in 2,500 preflop in a three-bet pot. Petrovic checked on the JQ3 flop before Ashelm bet 6,500.

Sluis made the call while Petrovic quickly got out of the way. Ashelm and Sluis then checked through the 10 turn for Ashelm to fire 6,500 on the 10 river.

Sluis quickly called. Ashelm showed down AA88 for aces and tens but was beaten by the straight of Sluis, who showed KQJ9.

The action was caught on a board of 783Q9 with around 5,000 in the middle. The 2023 runner-up from this event, Dario Alioto, was first to act from the hijack and threw out a bet of 3,000. Gabi Livshitz folded from the cutoff, but Israel Bulut was curious enough to flick in the call.

Alioto turned over AJJ10 for the nut straight to take down the pot.

Mahonen Takes It on the Turn

Jari Mahonen raised to 500 in the hijack, seeing calls from Florian Sarnow on the button and Nicusor Matei and Alen Sabic in the blinds. Mahonen continued for 2,000 on the flop of 482 and was called only by Sabic.

Sabic then led out for 4,000 on the 6 turn but quickly folded when Mahonen put in a raise to 15,000.

Weiss Fires Every Street

Dennis Weiss opened to 600 under the gun with Jyri Merivirta defending from the big blind.

Merivirta check-called a bet of 1,100 from Weiss on the A210 flop.

Merivirta check-called another bet from Weiss on the 2 turn, this time for 1,700.

After Merivirta checked the 9 river, Weiss fired out a final bet of 3,700. Merivirta thought it over briefly before making the call.

Weiss showed KQ105 for a king-high flush to win the pot.

Sabic Takes From Sarnow

With roughly 6,000 in the pot on a flop of 1028, Alen Sabic checked from the big blind and Florian Sarnow checked behind.

Sabic led out for 2,000 upon seeing the 9 hit the turn. Sarnow called.

Both players checked the K river and Sabic took down the pot with KJ10Xx for top two pair, kings and tens. Sarbow turned over an inferior two pair with AKx8x7 for kings and eights.

Auer-Klintmalm Off to Good Start

Niveau 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Samuel Auer-Klintmalm raised to 700 in the hijack and was called by Jeremy Trojand in the cutoff and Nino Pansier in the big blind.

The flop fell 868. Pansier checked to Auer-Klintmalm, who continued for 800. Trojand called before Pansier got out of the way.

The 2 turn was checked through to the K river, where Auer-Klintmalm bet another 2,100. Trojand tossed in a quick call but mucked his cards when Auer-Klintmalm showed 9874 for trip eights.
