A player in the small blind, who did not wish to be named, limped and Vanessa Kade checked her option in the big blind to send the two heads-up to the flop.
The flop came and the small blind checked. Kade bet 1,000 and was called.
The small blind player checked for a second time on the turn. Kade, unwilling to slow down, fired off another bet, this time 3,500. After eyeing up her stack, the small blind called.
On the river the small blind checked once again and faced a shove for 10,500 from Kade. The small blind player put his hands on his head as he appeared somewhat distressed before making the call. Kade turned over for flopped trips while the small blind revealed he had been slowplaying aces. "It's my fault, no one else to blame," said the small blind player as he saw a decent portion of his stack head Kade's way.
Steven Lerner opened to 2,500 from the cutoff and Darren Elias shoved for 15,200 out of the small blind. The big blind folded to send the action back to Lerner, who, after asking for a count, made the call with the bigger stack to put Elias at risk.

Steven Lerner:
It was a race for Elias' tournament life, one in which he fell distinctly behind following the flop. The turn and river brought no help to the four-time WPT champion, sending him out of the tournament just before the dinner break.
With roughly 10,000 in the pot on a flop, Pavel Plesuv checked the small blind, a player bet 3,000 in early position, Alexandros Theologis folded on the button, and Plesuv raised to 10,000. The early position player called.
Plesuv led with a bet on the turn, causing his opponent to quickly fold.
Following an apparent table tradition of revealing a card of the winning hand, a player flipped over one of Plesuv's cards to reveal the .
"A king?" asked Theologis. "We got him, guys. We got him."
Action folded around to Jen Shahade in the small blind, who limped. The player in the big blind raised to 4,800 and, after some hesitation, Shahade responded by moving all in. Her opponent immediately folded to send some chips the chess pro's way.
The remaining players have been sent on a 60-minute dinner break. They will return at 7:30 p.m. to blinds of 1,000/1,500 with a 1,500 big blind ante, at which point late registration will be closed.
