Il ne reste plus que 66 joueurs à bord du tournoi principal des WSOP Europe à l'Empire casino. Le chip leader est le Suédois Viktor Blom avec un tapis de 443,200 jetons, juste devant le Serbe Bojan Gledovic à 442,300.

Aujourd'hui nous avons vu un parterre de joueur de très grande qualité, peut être le plus impressionnant vu cette année, les reporters ne cessant de répéter "Oh, cette tables est très difficile".

C'est donc sans surprise que nous voyons à l'arrivée dans le top 10 Phil Ivey avec 289,300 jetons. Ce Top comprend deux Français également, Arnaud Mattern et Nicolas Levi.

Le champion sortant, Barry Shulman, a été éliminé, tout comme John Juanda. Nous n'avons plus de champion du Main Event dans la course désormais.

Le tournoi reprend demain midi heure locale pour arriver à la bulle (36 joueurs payés) puis à 27 joueurs.

Jour 2 : les jetons en direct

Bienvenue sur le Jour 2 du tournoi principal des World Series of Poker Europe. Le jeu devrait reprendre à midi (heure locale) à Londres. Suivez le classement en direct des jetons du Jour sur Pokernews.

Les deux premiers Jour 1 ont été le théâtre de passe d'armes intenses, mais c'est aujourd'hui que les joueurs survivants se réunissent pour se frayer un chemin vers les places payées.

Qui est bien placé ? Au coup d'envoi, le champion de l'Irish Open James Mitchell est le chip leader. Il devant 195 autres joueurs avec un tapis de 178,850 jetons. Il doit garder un oeil dans son rétroviseur pour maîtriser le Français Nicolas Levi et le finaliste des World Series of Poker 2010 John Dolan.

Dans le Top 25 du classement, on retrouve des joueurs dangereux comme l'Américain Faraz Jaka familier du circuit USA mais aussi Eli Elezra, McLean Karr, Antonio Esfandiari, Carlos Mortensen et Nick Schulman, tous au dessus des 100.000 jetons. Phil Ivey revient également avec un tapis de 94,350.

Le Canadien Daniel Negreanu, finaliste l'an dernier, est assis devant un petit tapis à 32.475 jetons. Le champion sortant Barry Shulman est par contre bien placé avec 86.325.
