Former Champion Barer Eliminated

Niveau 6 : 250/500, 75 ante
Ami Barer
Ami Barer

Ami Barer opened and was shoved on by Sadan Turker. Barer called it off with {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} for his last 25 big blinds.

Turker held {5-}{5-} and the flop came {j-Diamonds}{j-}{2-}. The turn {8-Diamonds} brought Barer a flush draw, but the river bricked and the Barer became the latest former champion to exit this year's Main Event.

Clark Rises Without Showdown

Niveau 6 : 250/500, 75 ante
Kevin Clark
Kevin Clark

Kevin Clark was involved in a bigger pot and chipped up without showdown. By the time the river showed {Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}, there were more than 25,000 in the middle and Clark faced a bet of 15,000, then slid forward a tower of T-5,000 chips to give his opponent the option to fold and forfeit a big portion of his stack or call all in.

Another player at the table went on to explain that it started rather innocent with a raise and call, followed by a check-call on the flop. On the turn, the second player in the hand bet 3,500 and Clark raised to 10,000, received a call, before the river escalated.

No call followed and Clark claimed the pot without having to show his cards, further strengthening his claim to be one of the big stacks at the end of the night.

Yevgeniy Timoshenko

On a {2-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{6-Spades} board, Yevgeniy Timoshenko checked and Ana Marquez bet 1,100. Timoshenko, who has an Aussie Millions ring from the AU$100,000 Challenge in 2014, called and the turn {5-Clubs} was checked by both players.

The river was the {j-Hearts}. Timoshenko checked and Marquez bet 2,775. Again, Timoshenko called.

The Spaniard showed {j-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for a rivered pair of jacks and Timoshenko took down the pot with {a-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for top pair.

Gupta Clashes With Amedi

Niveau 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Until the river of a board {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, a pot of 10,000 emerged and Netanel Amedi checked over to Ashish Gupta. The Aussie bet 10,300 and Amedi then check-raised to 38,000, which covered the remaining stack of Gupta.

After some consideration, Gupta called and Amedi shook his head, tabling the {A-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for top pair and the nutflush blocker. Gupta held {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for the second nuts and doubled for 25,350.

No Showdown in Sight

Niveau 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

On a three-way flop of {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, Ami Barer in the big blind checked and so did another player. Carlo Savinelli made it 2,200 to go and that won the pot. Former champion Barer is at one of the tables with a flop camera, close to the rail, and has a mountain climb with 12 big blinds.

Tobias Ziegler opened to 1,100 first to act and was called one way. The button reraised to 5,800 and Ziegler four-bet to 36,100. That did the trick to force out everyone and claim the pot without showdown.

Last but not least, David Yan in the big blind and Vincent Li on the button got into a raising war. Li ended up squeezing to 14,000 and Yan jammed to force a fold.

Monster Tank in Six-Bet Pot

Andrian Chin opened to 1,025 from the button and Gabriel Carter three-bet to 3,000 from the big blind.

Chin four-bet to 8,000 and Carter five-bet to 19,800. Chin then six-bet to 34,900 and Carter tanked.

The tank was so lengthy that four of the other players at the table - including Allen Kessler - had got to their feet and were discussing potentially calling the clock.

"This hand started with 1h12m left in the level," said Kessler, with the clock showing 1h02m remaining in the level.

Eventually, the clock was called - it was unclear by who - and Carter received a minute to act. The clock ticked down Without Carter acting, and his hand was eventually declared dead without Carter even acting upon it.
