Nikolov Gets a Full Double

Niveau 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Samir Moukawem raised to 600 and Martin Nikolov three-bet to 1,800 out of the small blind, which Moukawem called. On the {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop, Nikolov continued and was called before firing another 8,600 on the {J-Clubs} turn. Again Moukawem called, then the {4-Hearts} fell on the river.

Nikolov shoved for 16,275 and Moukawem called with pocket nines only to see Nikolov turn over the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} as winning hand.

Romanello has to Shove

Niveau 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Roberto Romanello raised to 400 from early position and Lior Shabtay three-bet to 1,000 from the cutoff. Song Hun Lee called in the big blind and Romanello called as well. The trio checked the {K-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop and the {J-Diamonds} turn. On the {Q-Diamonds} river, Romanello bet 500 and Shabtay raised to 1,500. Lee folded, but Romanello moved all in.

"Just making sure," Shabtay said and looked at his cards again, then called. "Flush!" Romanello announced and then started laughing, as he was pulling a prank on his opponent. Shabtay looked confused for a mere second and then both chopped it with {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs} respectively. Since both had the nuts, a simple call of the raise would have resulted in a penalty.

Kuiper Pushed Out by Siddique

Niveau 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

There was a lot of action over at table 16. From under the gun, Usman Siddique had raised and Bart Kuiper had three-bet to 1,175. When the action came to big blind Konrad Abela, he decided to make a four-bet to 3,400. Both, Siddique and Kuiper made the call.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Abela checked to Siddique. The Brit slid out a 4,250-bet and Kuiper called. Abela gave up and the dealer turned the {4-Clubs}.

Siddique bet 7,200 and Kuiper, after some deliberation, called again. The river was the {Q-Diamonds} and after a short period of thinking, Siddique moved all in for around 17,000.

Kuiper had only 12,000 left and had to make a decision for all of his chips. He eventually opted for a fold.

Farrell is all in

Niall Farrell
Niall Farrell

A big pot had been brewing on the table of Niall Farrell and Kitty Kuo. The action was already all but done with 16,000 in the middle and Kuo checked, then facing the shove of 13,650 by Farrell. Kuo folded and Farrell moved back to starting stack.

According to Farrell, it was Kuo who opened to 400 and Serdar Demiroglu between them three-bet to 1,050. Farrell and Kuo called and the flop {8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} was checked to Demiroglu. He continued for 1,600 and both Farrell and Kuo called. After the {9-Hearts} turn, Kuo and Demiroglu checked, Farrell bet 4,200 and just Kuo called.

"And then, he jammed on a busted flush draw," Demiroglu joked while Farrell finished his explanation of the hand.

Straight for Moukawem

Niveau 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

On the heads-up flop of {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, Martin Nikolov and Samir Moukawem both invested 1,200 chips before the duo checked the {J-Spades} on the turn. After the {9-Spades} river, Nikolov bet 2,800 out of the small blind and Moukawem snap-called, announced a straight and turned over his {K-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Since Nikolov was the last aggressor, it would have been him to show first, but as a result he simply mucked the cards.

Already Three Seat Open; Evard Works on a Miracle

Niveau 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Guy Tzidon has sent his entire stack over to Leonard Pires and Francois Evard almost did so as well against Alexander Prokudin. Evard was left with just 200 chips in level one, and has worked up his stack to more than 3,500.

Then, Ka Kwan Lau opened to 400 and Prokudin called. Evard shoved for 3,525 and Lau folded, Prokudin called.

Evard: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Prokudin: {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and the Swiss doubled.

Dohler Busts Chmielewski; Then Wins Some More

Niveau 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Bastian Dohler had an excellent first level. Apparently, he busted Marcin Chmielewski earlier on and now he won a sizeable pot from Hady El Asmar.

From first position, Dohler raised to 300 and got called by Hady El Asmar in the cut off and Jerwin Pasco on the button.

Dohler fired 800 on the {5-Spades}{9-Hearts}{J-Clubs} flop and the {6-Diamonds} turn. El Asmar called both times, Pasco got out of the way on the flop.

The {10-Diamonds} touched the felt on the river and Dohler slid out another bet. This time for 2,300 and El Asmar called a third time.

Dohler tabled {10-Spades}{J-Spades} for a rivered two pair and El Asmar frustratedly mucked his hand.

Dohler is one of the biggest stack so early on in this event. Chmielewski moved on to the €10,300 Single-Day High Roller, to try his luck over there, but busted there as well, but re-entered.

Saout Ace-High Loses to Ace-High

Niveau 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Antoine Saout saw Italian qualifier Sergio Benso raise to 225. On the button, Saout three-bet to 550 and got called by Benso.

The qualifier check-called a 400-bet on the {J-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop. Both players checked the {7-Hearts} turn and Benso checked again on the {9-Diamonds} river.

Saout fired out a 1,000-bet when the {9-Diamonds} came on the river and Benso quickly called.

The 2009 WSOP November Niner, who finished 25th in this year's Main Event, showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} but that wasn't good enough. Benso showed no respect to Saout reputation and tabled {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} for a better ace-high.
