Herzali s'offre un strike

Niveau 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Sarah Herzali
Sarah Herzali

Polish player Bartlomiej Machon was down to his last 22,800 and moved in when the action folded to him in the cutoff. Sarah Herzali, who made a deep run in the WPT Marrakech earlier this month (5th, €15,044), called from the small blind. Russian player Asker Aloev called from the big blind to make it three-handed.

The flop came {J-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Herzali bet 21,000. Aloev didn't waste much time calling.

With the {4-Spades} hitting the turn, Herzali moved all in. Aloev still had over 70,000 in front of him at this point and sat back to ponder for a bit. He eventually called and received the bad news seconds later.

Sarah Herzali: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
Asker Aloev: {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Bartlomiej Machon: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

Herzali had both opponents drawing dead and so whatever river would come, it would be inconsequential. Just to make things official, the dealer did burn and complete the board with the {2-Diamonds} but by that time, Herzali was already stacking.

Nemeth Moves All In

Niveau 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Andras Nemeth
Andras Nemeth

In a three-bet pot, Sergey Sergeev, Andras Nemeth and Eugene Katchalov saw a flop of {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} appear. Sergeev checked and Nemeth checked, which prompted Katchalov to bet 16,000. Sergeev called, and action was brought to Nemeth.

The Hungarian crusher simply moved all in, shoving his remaining stack of 81,600 in the middle. Katchalov quickly folded, but Sergeev was pained by the move. The Russian checked the clock multiple times, to see if they were close to the bubble already.

With a heavy heart, Sergeev eventually slid his cards towards the muck, surrendering the pot to Nemeth.

Borkowski Upsets Soons

Niveau 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Jeroen Soons raised from under the gun and Dawid Borkowski shoved from the big blind over on the feature table. Soons called and Borkowski was in dire need of help with the {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, as Soons had him dominated holding {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Borkowski made quads to double up.

Pollak mène la charge

Niveau 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Benjamin Pollak raised from the button and Piotr Franczak defended his big blind. On the {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop, Franczak check-called a 3,600 bet from Pollak. Both players checked the {4-Diamonds} on the turn.

Franckzak checked the {J-Clubs} river to Pollak, who bet 13,500. Franczak immediately called, but the French pro showed {4-Spades}{4-Hearts} for the turned full house to win the pot.

Fabsoul Flip

Niveau 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Dara O'Kearney
Dara O'Kearney

Dara "Doke" O'Kearney, serial qualifier and one of the most well-known Irish poker faces, has just been eliminated from the feature table.

Fabrice Soulier raised from the button and O'Kearney shoved from the small blind for his last 35,100. Soulier took the flip and the cards were tabled.

Dara O'Kearney: {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Fabrice Soulier: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}

The {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop gave Soulier middle set while O'Kearney picked up some outs on the {8-Diamonds} turn. However, the {J-Hearts} on the river completed a full house for Soulier and the Irishman was gone.

Jensen Wins With Nut Low

Niveau 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Frederik Jensen
Frederik Jensen

Winning with the lowest possible hand is possible in poker. Most of the times you have to bluff to accomplish that. Frederik Jensen unlocked a new achievement, he won with the nut low at showdown.

The Dane had bet 6,500 on the river with the board reading: {2-}{3-}{10-}{4-}{6-}. It was up to Armando Collado Lanuza, who was on his immediate right.

Lanuza tanked for a minute or so and then threw a single chip into the middle signaling a call.

"Show me the five", he shouted. Expecting that Jensen had made a straight.

Jensen slowly turned over {7-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the worst possible combination with the board.

Apparently, Lanuza misread the board and mucked his hand, leaving the table dazzled by this unexpected action.

Even with all the buzz his action caused, Lanuza still didn't realize what he had done.

When one of the other players asked why he mucked his hand, something got up to him. "Wait, he didn't had a straight?". Lanuza asked.

"No, you said show me the five, that would have made a straight, this was the nut low", several players replied.

"O, wow...", Lanuza gasped. "Now the wishky is really kicking in", refering to the drink he ordered earlier on.

Niveau 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Johan Guilbert open-shoved his last 24,800 from under the gun and the action folded to Danny Van Zijp, who also announced all in from middle position. All opponents folded and the cards were tabled.

Johan Guilbert: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Danny Van Zijp: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

"Oh, I didn't even know I was suited," Guilbert joked. "I can't lose, sorry bro," he added. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades} and again Guilbert said "sorry bro." He repeated the same lucky charm attempt on the {Q-Hearts} turn, but th {4-Spades} river was a blank and Guilbert was gone.
