Danny Tang, who won this event under the PokerStars Championship banner last year, has a shot at an incredible back-to-back title defense and will start the day in the middle of the pack with 696,000.

Charlie Carrel, who cashed in the €50,000 No Limit Hold'em event this week but just missed out on a place in the money in both the €25,000 High Rollers, comes into play with the most work to do after he was only able to bag 97,000.

The 30-second shot clock will once again be used, with each players giving fresh 30-second time-extension cards at the start of play.

Niall Farrell moved all in for 230,000 from the hijack, and Michael Addamo asked for a count from the cutoff. Addamo then folded, and Anton Yakuba called on the button before Ole Schemion folded from the big blind and showed the {a-Diamonds}.

"Ah no!" said Farrell, after Schemion had shown.

Niall Farrell: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Anton Yakuba: {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}

"I will just have to hit a jack then" joked Farrell.

The flop fell {a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, and Farrell's top pair was behind to Yakuba's set.

"Ah come on! This is bullshit" laughed Farrell after seeing the flop.

The action folded to Max Silver in the small blind and he raised for a large percentage of his stack, and left himself with a little behind.

Anton Yakuba

It was always going to be hard for Anton Yakuba to make a comeback at the final table after his hand with Alexandre Reard left him with just three big blinds.

Despite finding an early double up, and moving all in from under the gun which got no caller, Yakuba has seen his fight come to an end.

Daniel Dvoress raised to 80,000 from the cutoff, and Yakuba moved all in for 310,000 from the button, which Dvoress called after the players in the blinds had folded.

Daniel Dvoress: {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Anton Yakuba: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Board: {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Spades}

Yakuba had found himself in a good spot for a double, but Dvoress hit top pair on the flop. Dvoress also found the flush draw on the turn, which decreased Yakuba's outs, and the river sealed Yakuba's exit in 9th place for €52,510.

Michael Addamo raised to 80,000 from the cutoff and saw both Danny Tang, on the button, and Henrik Hecklen, in the big blind, call.

The flop fell {3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Spades}, and Hecklen bet out 90,000, which Addamo called before Tang folded.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds}, and Hecklen's 180,000 bet was again called by Addamo.

The river card fell the {6-Diamonds} and Hecklen bet three-streets, this time for 535,000.

Addamo was sat with a 900,000 stack and thought for 25 seconds before he reluctantly threw a calling chip into the middle.

Hecklen revealed {6-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for trips and Addamo mucked, which left him on just ten big blinds.
