The Bubble Finally Bursts

Niveau 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

There were three all-in and call situations during the thirteenth round of hand-for-hand play:

Ludovic Geilich had raised to 20,000 from the button and Anton Wigg called. The flop came {4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, Wigg check-called the 29,000 shove of Geilich. Geilich held {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} and Wigg had {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. The rest of the board was completed with the {4-Spades} on the turn and the {6-Clubs} on the river to double Geilich up.

Denis Karakashi had raised from under the gun to 12,000 and Jonathan Therme shoved on the button for 25,000 which Karakashi called.

Jonathan Therme: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Denis Karakashi: {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran out {q-Spades}{4-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} to keep the pocket aces of Therme ahead for his double-up.

Then the final hand of the round was taking place between Ben Jones and Daniel Ulvrell. Ben Jones was sitting in the small blind and Ulvrell in the big blind. The board read {10-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Ulvrell hadn't even looked at his cards yet. Jones had already picked up the side-pot and Ulvrell and he was playing for the main pot of 22,000. Once it was their turn, Jones tabled {q-Hearts}{4-Spades} for the pair of queens. Ulvrell turned over {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for the smaller pair and that meant he was eliminated as the bubble boy.

The rest of the field cheered as they were finally done for the day.
