Le Letton Yaniv Peretz remporte finalement le PokerStars 2,200€ EPT National High Roller pour 340,700€ après avoir défait Sonny Franco. Le Français est arrivé en head's up avec la majorité des jetons et s'est retrouvé à un board de conclure rapidement quand son adversaire a 3-bet shove 35 blindes avec 
. Franco s'est fait craquer les 
et malgré un dernier duel plutôt dominé, il va finir par s'incliner au bout de 80 minutes.
"A un moment je savais que cela allait se jouer entre lui et moi. C'est un joueur formidable, il a joué merveilleusement bien. J'ai donné tout ce que j'avais car je voulais vraiment gagner. Je n'ai jamais rien lâché", a indiqué le vainqueur à PokerNews. Peretz s'impose au Hilton Prague sur un field de 954 entrants (189 reentries) après deux jours de tournoi.
Un tournoi qui a fait plus que doubler par rapport à l'an passé où 627 entrées avaient été comptabilisées.

Pasi Sormunen était en tête, il s'est payé le scalp de Thorben Vellrath, Artem Kobylynskyi, Imed Mahmoud puis Jonathan Therme. Le Finlandais a ensuite fait doubler Peretz puis Klausen avant un dernier bluff raté contre le Chinois Guo.
Fatima Moreira De Melo, Ben Jones, Phachara Wongwichit, Colin Lovelock, Mykhailo Gutyi, Alexandru Papazian, Julien Sitbon, Ryan Riess, Ben Dobson, Kenny Hallaert, Jeff Hakim, Anton Wigg et Ludovic Geilich ont sauté aussi avant la finale.
Bryan Paris a lui été victime de Schaap juste avant la finale (10e pour 20,950€). Bechrakis était aux commandes à la constitution de l'ultime table.
Gergely Bartos a fait la bulle de la table finale officielle (9e), éliminé par Peretz. Sonny Franco était lui aux avant-postes depuis plusieurs niveaux, bien calé avec une belle profondeur. Dans la foulée Guo a sauté sur un lancer de pièce contre un Peretz en plein rush.
Le japonais Masatoshi Tanaka est ensuite devenu la 3e victime consécutive du futur vainqueur. Sonny Franco est alors passé en tête à l'issue d'un gros pot contre Bechrakis. Le Français a fait du Kitai pour se faire payer les nuts.

Schaap a perdu ses derniers jetons contre Peretz (6e) 5 minutes avant qu'Emmanouil Chrysovergis n'envoie ses derniers chips. Cette fois le festin sera pour Franco. Le rail du Danois Marc Klausen (4e) va se taire quand le Français va payer le shove de son champion avec les

Cinq minutes plus tard, le tricolore va se charger de Bechrakis sur un flip pour arriver en head's up avec 70% des jetons en jeu. Peretz va se relancer en faisant une horreur préflop pour survivre avant que Sonny ne double puis reprenne le large.
