Walter Treccarichi: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The board was an attractive one, with all face cards, coming {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. Importantly it put Mondrus in the lead and in doing so took away some of Treccarichi's outs to a win.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and the river the {q-Diamonds} giving Mondrus trips and sending the Italian to the rail in fifth for €89,000.

The remaining players are all guaranteed €106,600.

Lon Secures Vital Double in Crazy Hand

Ondrej Lon
Ondrej Lon

Ondrej Lon moved all in from under the gun for 6,650,000 and Danilo Velasevic called in the next position. The other two players both folded.

Ondrej Lon: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Danilo Velasevic: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Lon was ahead, but the {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop gave his opponent a set. The turn, however, was a {j-Hearts} putting Lon back into the lead!

There was the potential for even more drama should a nine or a heart roll off on the river, but the {6-Clubs} improved both players - and more importantly Lon - to a full house.

Boris Mondrus: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

The flop came {8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts} and the turn {a-Hearts} gave Mondrus a set. Velasevic thumped the table, and as if to rub salt into the start-of-day chip leader's wounds, the {7-Hearts} came on the river.

Velasevic takes home €106,600 for his fourth place finish.
