Paul Michaelis limped in on the button and snap-called when Artem Kobylynskyi jammed for around 6 million.

Paul Michaelis: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Artem Kobylynskyi: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The {5-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{9-Spades} on the felt meant Kobylynskyi's outs flipped from tens to jacks, and the river was a {7-Diamonds}.

"Ja!" came a shout from the German rail as the players shook hands to end the tournament.

Paul Michaelis called on the button and Artem Kobylynskyi opted to check.

The flop came {4-Spades}{q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, Kobylynskyi check-called the 300,000 bet of Michaelis.

The turn was the {5-Hearts}, Kobylynskyi checked again. Michaelis put a bet of 1,300,000 over the line and Kobylynskyi called once more.

The river completed the board with the {j-Spades}, Kobylynskyi checked for the last time. Michaelis pushed 4,600,000 in as a bet and Kobylynskyi confirmed the amount with the dealer. Kobylynskyi counted out his own stack and then made the call. Michaelis tabled {a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for the turned straight and that was enough to scoop the huge pot.

Alexandr Merzhvinskii shoved all in from the button for 3,575,000 and Artem Kobylynskyi quickly folded his small blind. Paul Michaelis snap-called from the big blind.

Paul Michaelis: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

The flop came {7-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for them both to flop a pair but keep Michaelis ahead with the higher pair of nines.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds} to not change the situation.

The river completed the board with the {10-Hearts} which meant that Merzhvinskii was eliminated in 3rd place and will take home €631,500 home with him after the three remaining players had agreed to a deal.

Artem Kobylynskyi opened for 400,000 on the button and Paul Michaelis made it 800,000 in the small blind. Kobylynskyi made it 1.3 million and Michaelis jammed, earning a quick fold. The reason for the strange action quickly became apparent.

"That was not on purpose," Michaelis said with a smile, pointing at his bet.

"I wanted to call," Kobylynskyi said in response.

Each player had misclicked, possibly due to the newly introduced T500,000 chips.

"I had a very strong hand," Michaelis said with a chuckle. "Ace-king. Strange."

He turned to Alexandr Merzhvinskii.

"Good opportunity for you," he added with a laugh.

Laurynas Levinskas opened for 400,000 under the gun and Alexandr Merzhvinskii defended big blind. Merzhvinskii checked the {q-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop and Levinskas bet 300,000. Merzhvinskii craned to get a look at Levinskas' remaining stack then announced all in, earning a quick fold.

The next hand, Paul Michaelis raised on the button to 425,000 and Levinskas defended. Action checked through on the flop for a {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} board. Levinskas checked again and Michaelis put in 400,000. Levinskas shoved for about 1.8 million and the German was in there with a snap-call.

Paul Michaelis: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Laurynas Levinskas: {k-Spades}{9-Spades}

Levinskas' top pair was stone dead against the turned set and he sighed and wished everyone good luck.

After the hand, the prospect of a deal was again brought up but it was shut down in a hurry when Michaelis and Merzhvinskii argued whether short stacks benefited or didn't from ICM.

Paul Michaelis opened to 400,000 first to act and Carlos Branco jammed for 3,575,000 on the button. Artem Kobylynskyi set him at risk from the big blind and Michaelis released.

Artem Kobylynskyi: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

Branco encouraged his rail to get loud and they did find some help on the {4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts} with a gutshot. The {9-Spades} turn and {8-Hearts} river just danced around him, though.

"It was a pleasure," Branco said.

"Aces, huh?" Michaelis said with a smile after Branco exited. "Easy game."

Parker Talbot shoved all in from the cutoff and action folded to Laurynas Levinskas in the big blind who asked the dealer for a count. The dealer complied and confirmed Talbot had 2,575,000 in total. Levinskas took a few more seconds and then made the call.

Parker Talbot: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Laurynas Levinskas: {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Talbot shouted out what the cards were to his rail and rose from his chair.

The dealer spread out {a-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} on the flop for Levinskas to hit trip aces immediately.

The turn was the {10-Spades} to give Talbot an out as the jack would give him the straight but the {k-Diamonds} on the river signaled the end of Talbot's Main Event run as he was the first one to be eliminated today. Talbot picks up a cash for €179,360 which is also immediately his biggest live cash ever.
