Le Main Event du PokerStars & Monte-Carlo®Casino European Poker Tour à 5300€ se termine après une finale au long cours, un deal à 3 pour 1,7 million d'euros et la victoire du pro allemand Manig Loeser. Le jeune homme franchit la barre des 10 millions de gains en carrière après ce succès au Sporting de Monte-Carlo sur un field de 922 entrants.
Loeser s'impose face au Chinois Wei Huang qui a raté l'occasion de devenir le premier vainqueur pour son pays. Ce duo a passé un arrangement avec Viktor Katzenberger à 3 left après près d'une heure de discussion. Le deal laissait le titre et 78,061€ pour le vainqueur. Le trio securisait une large partie du prizpool de 4,5 millions d'euros.
Fort de son succès Loeser encaisse 603,777€. Un chèque bien mérité après 273 mains, samedi. Le jeu en 5-handed (après la sortie du Lusitanien Luis Medina) a duré plus de 9 heures!
Ryan Riess a montré son talent avec un call magnifique mais il a finalement rendu les armes loin de la victoire. L'Américain devra patienter avant d'être le 9e joueur de l'histoire à réaliser la Triple Crown (un succès WPT - WSOP - EPT).

Une bataille d'endurance et des fulgurances. Ryan Riess, Wei Huang et Nicola Grieco sont partis à tapis plusieurs fois sans perdre durant la session ! Medina a vite disparu de la finale, le chipleader à l'entame de la dernière journéee a lui lentement perdu pied. L'Italien Grieco a tenté le moove de trop contre l'amateur Wei Huang et si ce dernier a utilisé 5 cartes pour réfléchir, il a finalement pris la bonne décision. Tombé à 6 blindes, il a perdu un 60-40 contre Loeser pour rejoindre le rail sur la 198e main de la finale (5e).

De quoi donner envie à l'Américain de revenir : " je me suis amusé, je suis très content. Si tu es triste quand tu ne finis pas premier, tu vas toujours te sentir mal. [...] Je reviendrais d'autant que ma copine est européenne".
A 3 left, Manig Loeser a dominé pour perdre son avance sur les coups à tapis. L'Allemand va perdre son chiplead en jetant une quinte rivière sur une mise osée et gagnante de Wei Huang.
Le Chinois était légèrement en tête quand la discussion du deal a débuté. Elle s'est prolongée près d'une heure.
Loeser a ensuite gagné un flip contre Viktor Katzenberger. Le Hongrois s'est ensuite empalé avec

Après que le chiplead ait changé de mains plusieurs fois, Loeser a finalement capté deux tiers des jetons. Pendant ce temps là la profondeur se réduisait, amenant le Chinois a faire tapis au tournant avec un tirage quinte par les deux bouts... en étant déjà mort puisque Loeser avait déjà la quinte au dessus. Un rivière ne va rien changer, la finale s'arrêtant après 16 heures de compétition.

turn, improving his hand to a queen-high straight. Loeser led out for 1,400,000, Huang shoved all in for 8,025,000, and Loeser snap-called.
The sudden all-in-and-a-call had everyone jumping on their feet and the crowd gathered in anticipation of the upcoming river. Only a queen would save Huang's tournament life, but the 
came instead and ended the hopes of the Chinese to win their country's first-ever EPT title. Meanwhile, the German rail, including the likes of Rainer Kempe and Koray Aldemir, celebrated their countryman's victory. Loeser ran off to Huang to shake hands and congratulate his opponent who battled him for fifteen hours today.
Huang's tremendous run came to an end in second place, similar to his close friend Haoxiang Wang's accomplishment in the 2018 EPT Barcelona Main Event, and the 34-year old recreational player from Shanghai received the biggest score of his career with €552,056.
With that, Manig Loeser has been crowned the 2019 EPT Monte Carlo Main Event winner! Loeser will take home €603,777 for his accomplishment.
