Souhayl Fjer raised to 1,000 in middle position and Romain Lewis three-bet to 3,300 in the cutoff. Dariusz Glinksi four-bet shoved 7,200 on the button, Fjer five-bet to 14,000 and Lewis folded.
Dariusz Glinksi:
Souhayl Fjer:
The dealer quickly fanned out to pair up Fjer and end it for Glinksi.
Tom Vogelsang raised to 1,300 from early position with only six players at the table. He was called by Chakib Bennani in the hijack, the player in the cutoff, and the player on the big blind.
The flop was dealt and all four checked. The turn was the and the big blind checked to Vogelsang who made a delayed continuation-bet of 2,000. Bennani called and the other two players folded.
The river was the and both checked.
Vogelsang showed for a missed flush and straight draw. Bennani had for two pair.
Gab Yong Kim has joined the big stacks before the dinner break after just scoring a double knockout by sending Anatoly Filatov and Tzur Levy to the rail.
Anatoly Filatov:
Tzur Levy:
Gab Yong Kim:
Filatov had been the shortest stack heading into the showdown for around 11,000 and Kim had the best of it. The flop gave Filatov some hope with a gutshot and a queen would have given him the straight while that card would have improved Levy to a set.
The on the turn left Filatov drawing dead and the on the river locked up the entire pot for Kim.
With previous action unknown on a flop, one thing was for sure: Lin Ruida did not have a good hand. The Chinese player had 27,000 in front of him, to which Adam Hari had responded with an all-in shove for 35,400 total.
While just 8,400 more to call, it was clear Ruida had a couple of ragballs hidden in the hole as he spent over five minutes figuring out whether he'd get the odds to climb out of the hole he'd created for himself. The clock got called and, reluctantly, he flung in the few extra chips.
Adam Hari:
Lin Ruida:
Ruida needed a creative backdoor escape if he was to win this one but the turn shut down every conceivable angle, rendering the river a mere formality.
There were 13,100 in the middle and the completed board showed . Dan Serban Borlan had checked and Jasper Meijer van Putten moved all in or 15,600. Borlan asked the dealer to spread the pot and apologized to the table for taking the time to think.
He eventually called and Meijer van Putten tabled the , Borlan chopped with the and the words "sorry, I wasn't slowrolling you."
