Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Jean-Philippe Piquette found {a-Hearts}{9-Spades} in the cutoff and shoved for 310,000. Fidan Zahiti picked up {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} on the button and made the call. The rest of the table folded.

The flop came {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} to not help Piquette much.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and the river completed the board with the {6-Spades} to seal the deal as Piquette was eliminated in 34th place.

Candelari Doubles Through Marsh

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Luke Marsh made it 35,000 to go from under the gun and Francesco Candelari jammed from the hijack for 186,000. Marsh asked for a count and eventually made the call.

Francesco Candelari: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Luke Marsh: {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Candelari already stood up from his chair and was ready to go, turning around after he saw the {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop. However, he had reason to celebrate when the {k-Spades} fell on the turn and the {q-Diamonds} river kept the Italian in contention.

Luigi Shehadeh raised from under the gun and Giorgiy Skhulukhiya three-bet. Shehadeh simply slid in a tower of T-25,000 chips worth half a million and Skhulukhiya called for his last 480,000.

Giorgiy Skhulukhiya: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Luigi Shehadeh: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Shehadeh had the best of it heading into the showdown and earned the checkmark on the {a-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Spades} turn, which made the {k-Clubs} river a formality.

"Mine was more exciting," Gaby Livshitz joked, referring to the previous battle of pocket pairs that saw him eliminate Sylvain Loosli.
