Big Names Expected in EPT Prague €50,000 Super High Roller

Welcome to the PokerNews coverage of the EPT Prague €50,000 Super High Roller which gets underway at 12:30 p.m.

This tournament will see some of the best players in the world battling it out in the biggest buy-in of the festival, with unlimited re-entry and eight levels of play on Day 1.

We may have to wait to see everyone, with late registration closing at the start of Day 2, but players who register in advance and take their seat before the tournament starts will be refunded 50% of the fee.

As has become the norm, a short clock will be in play from the start. Players will receive additional time bank cards as the tournament progresses, with each card granting an extra 30 seconds.

Poker fans can expect to see Tony G and Leon Tsoukernik jumping into this event, as well as EPT Prague €10,200 Bounty NLHE champion and PokerStars Ambassador Sam Grafton.

Daichi Tominaga made it 4,000 to go in the cutoff and he was called by Adrian Mateos on the button. Nick Petrangelo in the big blind then three-bet to 25,000 and Tominaga four-bet to 57,000, forcing a fold from Mateos and earning a reluctant call by Petrangelo.

The duo headed to the flop on which Petrangelo's bet of 30,000 resulted in a call by Tominaga. Both then checked the on the turn and Petrangelo then moved all-in with the covering stack on the river.

That sent Tominaga into the tank and he used three time bank extensions before calling it off for the 163,000 he had behind. Petrangelo tabled the for the top two pair and Tominaga's were briefly exposed as well.

Mateos Leaves Mulder on Fumes

Sam Grafton raised to 4,000 and Adrian Mateos then three-bet to 22,500, which was cold-called by Teun Mulder while Grafton got out of the way. The flop brought a bet worth 15,000 by Mateos and Mulder stuck around.

After the turn, Mateos bet another 60,000 to earn a call and opted to check the on the river. Mulder then moved all-in and was snapped off by Mateos with the for aces full as he had to flip over for a move gone wrong. Both stacks were counted and Mateos doubled for 146,000 to leave Mulder on fumes.
