Another day, another high roller event at the 2022 Pokerstars European Poker Tour Prague which is being held at King's Casino Prague. The €25,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller II is on the schedule today and is scheduled to kick off at 12:30 p.m. local time with a winner being crowned later tonight.
Late last night, Ben Heath captured the first of the single-day high roller events that saw a total of 22 entries take part. Heath managed to maneuver his way through the field on just one bullet and take home the first-place prize of over €227,000 after defeating Alex Kulev in heads-up play. Kulev still managed to escape with a six-figure payout of €142,620 while Daniel Dvoress and Pablo Brito Silva also rounded out those in the money.
The structure will be the exact same today with a starting stack of 100,000 chips and the blinds beginning at 500/1,000 and a 1,000 big blind ante. The levels will be 30 minutes in length with the first eight levels comprising of all double levels. There will be an unlimited re-entry option available and late registration will remain open until after the dinner break and the start of level 11.
For those that are registered at the start of the tournament, they will receive half of the house fee back in cash. One other thing to note that is new at this EPT stop, the preflop shot clock has been reduced to just 15 seconds while all other streets will remain at 30 seconds. Each time bank used will still grant you an additional 30 seconds to act regardless of when it is used.

Adrian Mateos raised to 2,500 in the cutoff and Daniel Dvoress defended from the big blind. The flop came and Dvoress started with a check.
Mateos threw in a bet of 4,000 only to have Dvoress check-raise to 11,000. Mateos pondered for a moment and then countered with a three-bet to 26,000. Dvoress wasted little time before throwing his cards away and Mateos dragged in an early pot.

Pascal Lefrancois raised it up from the cutoff and Dimitar Danchev three-bet to 12,000 out of the small blind. The flop fell and Danchev led out with a bet of 6,500 which Lefrancois called.
The on the turn slowed the action as both players checked to the on the river. Two more checks and Danchev rolled over which proved to be good enough to win the pot.

Mike Watson was seen getting up from his seat and the pot was being pushed toward Dimitar Danchev. A completed board of was spread across the felt and Danchev revealed the for jacks and deuces.
Watson's cards were whisked away into the muck and he headed to the rail in the first level of the day.

Orpen Kisacikoglu opened to 2,500 from under the gun and was called by Pascal Lefrancois in the big blind. The flop came and Lefrancois check-called a bet of 1,500 from Kisacikoglu.
The turn brought the and Lefrancois checked again. Kisacikoglu sized up a bet of 7,500 this time and Lefrancois still called. The landed on the river and Lefrancois quickly checked. Kisacikoglu burned one of his time banks before flicking in a bet of 25,000. Lefrancois mucked his cards and Kisacikoglu raked in the pot.

Aleksejs Ponakovs opened to 2,500 on the button and was called by Pascal Lefrancois in the small blind. Orpen Kisacikoglu re-raised to 12,500 from the big blind and only Ponakovs called.
The flop came and Kisacikoglu continued with a bet of 7,500. Ponakovs raised to 22,000 and Kisacikoglu responded by shoving all in for 63,500. Ponakovs went into the tank for nearly two minutes but eventually decided to lay his hand down.
