Niveau 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Alejandro Lococo

The Day 1b evening flight of the €1,100 Eureka Main Event has wrapped up after 10 hours of play inside the luxurious Hilton Prague venue during the PokerStars European Poker Tour Prague. A familiar face turned it into his show once again with hopes of a repeat win here in the Czech Republic.

This second of four starting flights drew 434 entries, surpassing the numbers from the last time EPT came to Prague, just as Day 1a did. The event still has two more starting flights to go, and it's looking very likely to break the attendance record of 3,155.

Over A Million: The Lococo Show

Last time the EPT came to Prague, Alejandro Lococo topped the field and took home first place. He may not have cashed in Day 1a's flight, but he certainly did here on Day 1b. The only player to eclipse one million in either flight so far, Lococo sits comfortably in the overall chip lead. He drilled an unlikely set early on to start his run. He busted out some superstitious tricks to get the card he needed when his opponent sucked out on the flop. Finally, he was the man responsible for ending the night when he burst the bubble.. There's a lot of tournament left to play, but surely thoughts of a repeat winner have had to have crossed his mind with such a strong showing.

Lococo Stands Up to Scoop Pot

Niveau 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Alejandro Lococo
Alejandro Lococo

Mario Navarro Arrocha opened to 8,000 from the cutoff. Action folded to Alejandro Lococo who three-bet to 30,000 from the small blind. Arrocha thought for about a minute before moving all in for just under 100,000. Lococo snap-called with his big stack.

Mario Navarro Arrocha: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Alejandro Lococo: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}

"You're ahead," said Arrocha when he saw Lococo's hand. Arrocha pulled the classic stand up when behind trick.

The dealer spread the {4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{j-Clubs} flop.

"Now you're ahead," said Lococo. "So I'll stand up," and Lococo got up himself.

Immediately the dealer dropped the {q-Hearts} on the turn, and Lococo sat back down. The river {5-Spades} was meaningless and Lococo gobbles up another stack.

Lococo Drills Perfect Turn

Niveau 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Alejandro Lococo
Alejandro Lococo

Action picked up on the turn with Tobias Garp and Alejandro Lococo battling for a pot. The board showed {q-Spades}{2-Clubs}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}.

Garp was in the big blind and Lococo was under the gun. The two players had just traded a few bets to get all the chips in the middle, Lococo the effective stack with 35,200, Garp with slightly more. Garp didn't like the hand Lococo showed.

Alejandro Lococo: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Tobias Garp: {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Lococo drilled the one outer on the turn to get it all in. All he needed was to avoid the two remaining queens on the river to get the double. The {5-Diamonds} fell and sealed it, leaving Garp with less 20 bigs.

Felix Schneiders

With nearly 40,000 in the pot, Felix Schneiders looked at the {q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs} board on the river. He was heads-up with Gzim Krasnici.

Schneiders moved 35,000 in the middle, enough to cover Krasnici. After a couple minutes of thought, Krasnici called to put himself at risk.

Schneiders showed {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for top pair. Krasnici tapped the table and mucked without having his hand revealed and made his way away from the table.

Romeo Delivers Knockout Blow With Hero Call

Niveau 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Leonardo Romeo

Three players were in the pot on the river with [2c10h5hhj10s] showing and about 25,000 in the pot.

After his two opponents checked the river, Henrik Veldhoem moved all in for 17,200 from the button. In the small blind, Mehdi El Meray thought for about a minute before letting his cards go. Leonardo Romeo started his own tank for about two minutes. Finally, he made the call, having Veldhoem slightly covered.

"Good call," said Veldhoem.

Henrik Veldhoem: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Leonardo Romeo: {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Veldhoem pointed at the {a-Hearts} as he flipped his cards over, but the valiant bluff didn't get through. Romeo made the impressive hero call with third pair to score the knockout and chip up big.
