Aktag Gets One-Outed

Niveau 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Firat Aktag told PokerNews about a sick hand that took place ahead of dinner break resulting in him losing a 140,000-chip pot.

Aktag raised with {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} and his opponent moved all in with {k-}{k-}. Aktag called with the superior pair and had his opponent drawing to one out as a king had already been folded.

The flop of {5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Spades} changed nothing and the {7-Clubs} on the turn only created some chop possibilities. But none of this stopped the {k-Clubs} from spiking on the river to deliver Aktag a colossal beat.

Niveau 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Michele Zangardi had his last 8,000 in front of him from under the gun and was at risk to Giovanni Bellini, who was on his direct left.

Michele Zangardi: {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Giovanni Bellini: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}

The superior ace-high remained best as the board ran out with the {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

Two Outer Angers Fiorentino

Niveau 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Angelo Fiorentino opened to 3,000 from middle position before Clement Bonnant made it 11,5000 from the small blind. Fiorentino responded by moving all in as the bigger stack.

Bonnant, with another 32,000 behind, didn't like the spot but ultimately called off for his tournament life.

Clement Bonnant: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Angelo Fiorentino: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Bonnant got out of his seat and started collecting his belongings after the {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop and {3-Hearts} turn. However, he immediately retook his seat after the {j-Hearts} hit the river. Fiorentino was enraged and smacked the felt in disbelief.

Orpaz Holds to Eliminate Svedin

Niveau 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Tom Orpaz
Tom Orpaz

Picking up the action on the flop of {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{k-Clubs}, Robert Svedin moved all in with a short stack and was called by Tom Orpaz.

Robert Svedin: {q-}{j-}
Tom Orpaz: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Orpaz was ahead with two pair while Svedin had plenty of hope with an open-ended straight draw. The runout of {q-Spades}{j-Clubs} improved Svedin to a no-good two pair and he hit the rail as Orpaz raked in the pot.

A few hands earlier, Orpaz took a small hit in a three-bet pot when he flat-called a bet of 11,000 on a flop of {4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Richard Essex raised to around 50,000.

Essex, sitting in the nine-seat, had accidentally pushed one of his cards toward the muck as he put out his raise and Orpaz, before folding, questioned what had happened as Essex pulled his card back.

"Am I the only one who saw that?" he asked.

The dealer and other players agreed that Essex's hand was still live and that the raise would stand as it hadn't touched the muck. Orpaz and a third player in the hand both folded.

Annen Takes From Koleno

Niveau 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Frederic Annen opened to 2,500 from under the gun and was called by Stanislav Koleno and Mikolaj Zawadzki from the blinds.

Annen continued for 3,200 on the {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop and only Koleno called. The latter then check-called for 6,800 on the {6-Hearts} turn.

The {q-Diamonds} came on the river and Annen sized up to 19,000 and after a few moments, Koleno folded his hand.

Plousos Can't Survive Flip

Niveau 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Nikolaos Plousos was all-in for 19,000 from the button and was at risk to Walter Coan from the big blind.

Nikolaos Plousos: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Walter Coan: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

It was a classic race, but it was one that Coan would win after pairing up on the {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} runout.

Two-Outer In the Window Sends Kassouf Packing

Niveau 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
William Kassouf
William Kassouf

William Kassouf endured a tough beat at Table 6 and those present were glad it marked his exit so they could be spared a tirade.

As relayed to PokerNews, Gabriel Rymar opened from the hijack and Kassouf three-bet jammed behind him. Rymar called with {9-}{9-} to find himself behind the {q-}{q-} of Kassouf. But that mattered little as a nine in the window gave Rymar a massive lead with a set and nothing changed after the full runout to mark Kassouf's elimination.

"You did us all a favor!" laughed a player at the table who had clearly had enough of Kassouf's world-famous table talk, while Rymar said he hadn't been aware of his opponent's reputation.

"He doesn't care if you listen or not," another player commented. "We could have eight players with headphones on and he'd still be talking."

Jensen Cracks Kings to Down Kvinikadze

Niveau 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action was caught on the {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop with 13,000 in the middle. Christoffer Jensen and Ivane Kvinikadze checked from the big blind and under the gun respectively before Daniel Nicu bet 6,200 from the hijack.

Jenson clicked it to 22,000 and then Kvinikadze, who had around 20,000 behind, called for his tournament life. Nicu also matched the check-raise to see the {6-Spades} turn. Jenson then opted to move all in as the bigger stack but this time Nicu folded.

Ivane Kvinikadze: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Christoffer Jensen: {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}

Jensen was ahead with his two pair, tens and nines, and filled up when the {9-Spades} completed the board to secure the pot and elimination.
