Fedor Holz

Blinds 3,000/6,00/6,000

Action began on the turn in a button-versus-blind battle. The board showed {5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}.

With about 90,000 in the middle, Fedor Holz checked from the big blind. Yosuke Nakazawa bet 60,000 on the button. Holz check-called.

The river fell the {a-Clubs}. Holz checked again. Nakazawa moved all in after about 10 seconds of thought. Holz started counting his stack while considering the call for his tournament life, he had just under 60,000 remaining. Eventually, he did make the call.

Fedor Holz: {10-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Yosuke Nakazawa: {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

Holz picked off the bluff, sending him up the leaderboard to about twice the average stack size.

Cutri Wins Massive Three-Way Cooler

Luciano Cutri
Luciano Cutri

Blinds: 200/500/500

Action began on the flop with three players looking at a board of {10-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and about 4,000 in the pot.

Daniele Grassi checked from the blinds, so did Luciano Cutri from middle position. Victor Vozian bet 2,500 also from middle position. Both other players called.

The turn brought the inconspicuous {5-Diamonds}. Action again checked to Vozian who fired 4,500. Grassi check-raised all in for 22,000. Next up, Cutri thought for a while before also moving all in, him for 20,000. He called his friend over from a nearby table.

Meanwhile, Vozian started tanking. After about a minute, he also made the call for a three-way river card.

Daniele Grassi: {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Luciano Cutri: {a-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Victor Vozian: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The turn drilled both Grassi and Cutri, with the former drawing dead and Vozian drawing very thin. The river fell the {k-Hearts} to ship the main pot to Cutri and the few thousand in the side pot over to Grassi.

Vasileios Paramythellis checked from middle position to Danut Chisu, who bet 6,000. Paramythellis called quickly.

The turn came the {j-Spades} and both players checked without hesitation.

On the {4-Diamonds} river, Paramythellis led for 8,600. Chisu didn't like it, but he obliged with a call.

Paramythellis revealed {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for rivered two pair, while Chisu showed his {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} that were no good on the full board.

Santa Claus

The final starting flight of the €1,100 Eureka Main Event is all set to begin this evening here at the PokerStars European Poker Tour Prague. Day 1d begins at 6 p.m. local time.

The venue here at Hilton Prague has seen record numbers for this event, with well over 3,000 players already registered. Players who have yet to find a bag will have one final chance to do so this evening.

Several big names grabbed bags over the first two flights yesterday, some with large stacks. We won't see Fabrice Bigot (692,000), Konstantin Farber (475,000), or Sammy Truong (392,000) today as they have secured their spots for Saturday's Day 2. Although, they're all looking up at one man who knows this tournament all too well.

Alejandro Lococo sits atop the leaderboard after a fantastic showing on Thursday that led to him bagging 1,083,000. As last year's event winner, there might be magic here in the streets of Prague that Lococo is tapping into. He's set the bar very high for today's final flight.

Players today will get 30,000 starting chips to put to use with 20-minute blinds on this final Day 1 flight. Breaks of 20 minutes will be taken every two hours. This is a single reentry per flight tournament.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be here throughout the series as well as through the end of this €1,100 Eureka Main Event. Stay tuned in here to be sure how it all shakes out. In the meantime, also check out our coverage of other ongoing events here at EPT Prague.
