Saliba Shoves on Sfez

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Justin Saliba
Justin Saliba

On a completed board of {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} with roughly 240,000 in the pot, Lucas Sfez bet 150,000 in middle position, and Justin Saliba shoved for 674,000 on the button.

Sfez thought for a bit and tried to engage in some table talk with his opponent, but Saliba continued to look down at the felt with his earbuds in. After some time, Sfez laid down his hand.

"Show 'em to me," Sfez requested, but Saliba slid his cards into the muck and scooped the pot without a showdown.

Cardot Gets a Shove Through

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Yannick Cardot opened from early position and Flavien Mullet three-bet to 50,000 from the button. Cardot responded with a shove for his last 267,000 and Mullet leaned in to think about it.

After using a time bank, Mullet got away from it and Cardot took the pot.

Guenni Eliminated by Foggin

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

From an early position, Mikael Guenni jammed for what appeared to be eight blinds and it folded all the way to Marc Foggin in the big blind.

"How much is it?" the Brit inquired and Guenni instantly replied "around 80,000" before he started to cut down the T-5,000 chips. While he did so, Foggin flicked in calling chips and they turned the cards over.

Mikael Guenni: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Marc Foggin: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}

The {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop was a tease for Guenni with the bottom pair and nut flush draw. However, the {j-Diamonds} turn and the {4-Clubs} river were both blanks to knock out the Frenchman.

Assorted Counts in the Field

Grieco Wins a Showdown Pot

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Another rather vivid celebration by Nicola Grieco indicated that he may have won a large pot. However, on the tail end of a duel with Charles-Henri Garnero, he had just been paid off a bet worth 70,000 on the {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} river.

Grieco rolled over the {q-Clubs}{q-Spades} for a full house and Garnero mucked.

Lovgren Out; Romero Doubles

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Sofia Lovgren
Sofia Lovgren

Alejandro Romero raised to 21,000 from middle position and Eric Sfez three-bet to 61,000 from the button before Sofia Lovgren four-bet jammed with her last 183,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded and Romero shoved his 189,000 into the middle, which sent Sfez into the tank. After a few moments of talking out the possibilities, Sfez folded and action was heads-up with Lovgren at risk.

Sofia Lovgren: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Alejandro Romero: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and the queens held to eliminate Lovgren from the tournament.

Martini Eliminated by Colillas

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Julien Martini
Julien Martini

Over on the featured table, Julien Martini opened to 20,000 from early position and Ramon Colillas three-bet to 62,000 in the big blind. Martini shoved for 189,000, and Colillas snap-called.

Julien Martini: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Ramon Colillas: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

It was "the sickest and classic-est of all races," as Joe Stapleton put it on stream. The two players gave each other a fist-bump as they awaited the runout.

The dealer spread the {k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop and Colillas vaulted ahead. Needing a queen to stay alive, the {7-Spades} and {k-Spades} completed the board to eliminate Martini as Colillas improved to a boat, and the PokerStars Ambassador scooped the pot to get over the million mark.

Veksler Eliminated by Mantor

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds between two shorter stacks, Didrik Mantor raised to 40,000 off a stack of around 340,000 and then instantly called the shove by Pavel Veksler for what appeared to be approximately 235,000.

Pavel Veksler: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Didrik Mantor: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop gave Veksler the top pair and some more outs to stave off the elimination. However, the {q-Diamonds} turn and {8-Clubs} river delivered no further help and that spelled the end for Veksler in 54th place.

Banicevic Chips Up in Showdown

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Vlado Banicevic
Vlado Banicevic

Three ways to the {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop, Francky Magliocco checked and Vlado Banicevic made it 25,000 to go. Jean Cristiani called from one seat over and Magliocco folded.

The {4-Clubs} turn was checked and Banicevic then bet the {4-Hearts} river for what appeared to be 120,000. Cristiani flicked in calling chips and Banicevic tabled the {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a full house to win the pot.
