Jason Wheeler

Jason Wheeler was seen bringing the last of Daniel Golder's chips into his stack with {8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} on the board.

Wheeler had tabled {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, while Golder's {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} couldn't find any help to stay in the tournament.

Wheeler has continued his run today and now sits at 1,645,000 in chips just past the midway point of Day 3.

Turmezey Pays Off Pingray

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

In a battle button versus big blind, Hugo Pingray and Peter Turmezey headed to the {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop on which both invested 75,000 chips. The {k-Clubs} followed and Turmezey bet 120,000 after he exceeded the 30 seconds to act for a few seconds for Pingray to call.

The {3-Hearts} fell on the river and Turmezey opted to check. Pingray now used a time bank, too, and then bet 200,000. With two time bank extensions behind, Turmezey went into the tank and the dealer specifically mentioned that his hand would be dead within the final ten seconds remaining on the final time bank.

Three seconds before that period ran out, Turmezey tossed in a single chip for the call. Pingray tabled the {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and that won the next bigger pot. Turmezey not only parted ways with plenty of chips but now also has no more additional time banks available either.

Foggin Has a "Reason to Smile"

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Marc Foggin pushed for 280,000 in the hijack and was called by Danut Chisu in the big blind.

Marc Foggin: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Danut Chisu: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The dominated pair improved on the {6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop and the {4-Diamonds} turn made that a full house. Chisu made an insufficient flush on the {7-Diamonds} river and dropped below Foggin on the leaderboard.

"Now I have a reason to smile again," the Geordie said in table chat.

Yaghmai Takes the Lead After Knocking Out Mullet

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Flavien Mullet opened to 32,000 on the button and Nariman Yaghmai three-bet to 130,000 in the big blind. The four-bet shove for around 680,000 by Mullet followed and Yaghmai instantly called.

Flavien Mullet: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Nariman Yaghmai: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The {a-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop and {7-Clubs} turn provided some split opportunities but the {4-Clubs} river ensured that the kicker played in order to eliminate Mullet and propel Yaghmai into the lead.

Conan Gets Over a Million and Leaves Motte With Crumbs

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Arthur Conan
Arthur Conan

Over on the featured table, Arthur Conan opened to 32,000 from early position and Fabien Motte three-bet to 133,000 in the small blind. Action folded back to Conan who called.

The dealer spread the {q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop, Motte shoved, and Conan called for his 358,000 chips.

Arthur Conan: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Fabien Motte: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Conan had jumped ahead on the flop, and although the {j-Spades} added Broadway outs for Motte, the {9-Diamonds} confirmed Conan's double and left Motte with only 7,000 in chips.

Sfez Pays Off Pingray

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Hugo Pingray raised from the cutoff and was called by Eric Sfez in the big blind. On the {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop, Sfez check-called for 25,000 and the {q-Spades} turn was checked. Sfez also checked the {2-Diamonds} river on which Pingray bet 75,000.

Sfez tossed in a single chip for the call and Pingray tabled the {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a pair of queens, which was good enough to win the pot.

Muradov Flips Well to Double

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

The cards were already turned over as Shakhabiddin Muradov was the player at risk for the final 198,000 with the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}. He faced Alexis Nicolai in showdown, who had the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

The coin flip went to Muradov thanks to the {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} board and that left Nicolai short.
