Action was caught when Dario Sammartino in the small blind and Jinho Hong in the big blind were on the flop 557, with Sammartino having a 120,000 bet in front of him. Next to him, Hong decided to raise to 230,000, and Sammartino called.

Adrian Mateos

Hand 1

Adrian Mateos raised to 40,000 from under the gun before Dmitry Yurasov three-bet to 105,000 from middle position. The action folded back to Mateos, who made the call.

Mateos checked the subsequent 5QK flop and Yurasov bet out 50,000 chips. Mateos called before the [7c turn and 7 river were checked by both players.

Mateos reluctantly showed 88 but Yurasov had the higher pocket pair with JJ and won the pot.

Hand 2

The very next hand, Markkos Ladev raised to 40,000 from the cutoff and Mateos defended the big blind. Ladev then continuation-bet for 40,000 on the J45 flop and Mateos check-called. Mateos opted for another check on the 2 turn before calling a larger 160,000 bet from Ladev.

The K river then completed the board and Mateos checked for a third time. This time, Ladev put his opponent all in, for 500,000 chips. Mateos did not think long before folding, leaving himself with 25 big blinds.

River Three-Bet Sees Diaz Take Chip Lead

Niveau 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Martin Diaz
Martin Diaz

There was a modest amount of 175,000 chips in the pot when Martin Diaz made a bet of 45,000 from the big blind on the completed board of 7J684. His opponent was Nicolas Vayssieres in middle position, who made a large raise to 280,000. Diaz asked how much Vasyssieres played before clicking it back to 515,000, almost putting his opponent all in.

Vayssieres mulled it over for a good bit before eventually passing his cards and some time bank extensions to the dealer, forfeiting the pot to Diaz, who became the new chipleader of the field.

Niveau 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Markkos Ladev had opened from the button and Adrian Mateos three-bet from the big blind. Ladev called, creating a 380,000 chip pot. The flop was then dealt Q44 and Maetos bet 105,000 chips. Ladev made the call and the 8 turn was checked by both players.

Both players knuckled the table on the K river as well, and Mateos showed his JJ for a pair of jacks. However, Ladev played one pair higher with his AQ for a pair of queens, and raked in another pot.

Alex Peffly

On the second hand on the day, Dario Sammartino opened to 45,000 from under the gun, then Alex Peffly three-bet all in for 160,000 in early position. All the other players folded, and Sammartino called.

Alex Peffly: A10
Dario Sammartino: KK

Peffly hit two pair on the flop 1088, but it wasn't enough to beat Sammartino's kings. The J on the turn didn't change anything. But the A landed on the river to give the ace Peffly needed to double up.
