Pardo Knocks Out Gonzalez

David Docherty had opened in early position and was called by Jose Manuel Gonzalez on the button and Jorge Pardo in the big blind.

On the 6♠4♥7♠ flop Pardo led out with a bet of 7,500, which Docherty called. Action was on Gonzalez, who moved all in for 16,900.

Pardo then re-jammed and, after considering the spot for a couple of minutes, Docherty folded. Gonzalez was at risk.

Gonzalez had bottom pair with an open-ended straight draw, but was in trouble versus Pardo's two pair.

The 9♠2♦ runout did not alter matters and Gonzalez was eliminated, wishing his table well as he exited the tournament area.
