Winamax VIP and footballer Bernard Mendy appeared all but out of the tournament. With a short-stack of around 10,000 chips, Mendy got it all in with {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and was well behind his opponent's {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}. Things looked worse for Mendy when there was no ace on the flop of {x-}{6-}{9-}. The {5-} on the turn added four more outs with a gutshot straight draw. The {8-} completed the straight giving Mendy some hope.

Team Winamax players Pierre Calamusa (100,000 chips) and Alexandre Luneau (45,000 chips) appear to be also holding their own today on separate tables, while Leo Margets (25,000 chips) is also still alive to make Day 2.
