Caribbean Poker Party
Caribbean Poker Party

With the $10,300 MILLIONS High Roller wrapping up last night, it is now time to begin the $25,500 MILLIONS Super High Roller at the 2017 Caribbean Poker Party Festival. The action is set to begin at 2:00 P.M. local time at the Melia Caribe Tropical resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

The event was originally scheduled to begin yesterday but has been reduced to just a 2-day event. The players will still begin with a 1,000,000 chip starting stack with the levels now being 40-minutes in length. Late registration is expected to remain open until Day 2, at which point the players will play down to a winner.

The new plan for Day 1 is to play 10 levels before the remaining players will bag and tag to return on Day 2. There may still be some changes based on how many players are registered. The prizepool is still guaranteed at $1,000,000 and many of the poker world's top players will be here to battle it out.

With that, the tournament director has announced "Shuffle up and deal," as the action is now underway.

Aldemir Bets Chidwick Off

Niveau 1 : 5,000/10,000, 5,000 ante

Koray Aldemir just took his seat and found himself in a hand with Stephen Chidwick. The board read {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{10-Diamonds} with 120,000 in the middle. Chidwick checked from the big blind and Aldemir bet 55,000. Chidwick called and the {3-Clubs} completed the board.

Chidwick checked again and Aldemir fired another 126,000. Chidwick didn't waste much time before sending his cards to the muck.

Fanzy Spreads His Chips Amongst the Table

Niveau 2 : 5,000/10,000, 7,000 ante

It appeared Michael Fanzy did not enter the Super High Roller to sit on his hands and wait for premium cards. Just minutes into the second level, Fanzy was down to under 100,000 after sending the majority of chips to Steffen Sontheimer.

Fanzy was all in with {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and was called by Alex Foxen with {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. The board ran out clean for Foxen and Fanzy was the first player to hit the rail.
