The popular BSOP made an appearance at the PCA with the BSOP Bahamas Main Event. That was won by Canada’s Allan Barnes after he defeated Vicente Delgado in heads-up play.
This is the first win for Barnes, and a long time coming after a few deep runs in the Bahamas.
“First of all, me and my wife absolutely love The Bahamas," he told PokerNews in a winner's interview. "It feels very, very good. It’s a monkey off my back.
"I’ve had some cashes down here and I’ve gone deep in some tournaments where I busted out before it really got exciting. This one here is a nice victory.”
The action was picked up in a pot of 11,400 on a flop showing . Noah Schwartz in the hijack and Shaun Deeb in the cutoff both checked to Jeremy Ausmus on the button who bet out 3,500. Schwartz called and Deeb got out of the way.
Both players checked on the turn and again on the
river. Ausmus revealed
for a straight and Schwartz double checked his hand before tossing it into the muck.
