Kisacikoglu Is Shown Top-Two

Niveau 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

On a flop of {K-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs} we saw Chad J. Brown check from the small blind. Canadian player Hrair Janian bet 1,100 from middle position on the shorthanded table and Orpen Kisacikoglu called from the button, Brown folded.

Janian bet another 1,500 on the {4-Hearts} turn and again Kisacikoglu called.

With the pot relatively big already, Janian wasn't backing down on the {A-Spades} river. He bet 2,000 and action was on Kisacikoglu. The Turkish high roller thought for a bit before he tossed his cards into the muck. Janian was kind enough to show his {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} before raking in the chips.

Bradley Marsh Takes on George Petten

Niveau 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

George Petten opened for 250 from middle position and the player in the hijack called. Paul Newey came along from the cutoff, both blinds called, and five players took a flop of {3-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

All players checked, the dealer burned and turned the {K-Clubs}, and two checks saw Petten bet 550. The player in the hijack folded, as did Newey and the small blind, but PokerStars qualifier Bradley Marsh opted to call from the big.

When the {8-Hearts} completed the board on the river, Marsh checked for a third time and Petten checked behind. Marsh showed the {6-Spades}{a-Hearts} for a pair of aces, which bested the {j-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for Petten, who dropped to 32,500 after the hand. Marsh is up to 32,500.

With about 1,000 in the pot, on a board reading {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}, Morris Dadoun checked from under the gun.

The player on the button bet 2,500, and Dadoun quickly called.

The turn was the {2-Spades}, and Dadoun checked for a second time. The button bet 3,500 this time, and Dadoun called again.

The river was the {J-Clubs}. Dadoun checked and the button checked back.

Gorey Rivers Value From Cheng

Niveau 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Ireland's Ronan Gorey has been very active from the start on Day 1a of the PokerStars Championships Bahamas Main Event, and he's just managed to get good value after a fortunate river card.

Pre-flop, Leo Yan Ho Cheng bet 250 from early position and Gorey was the only called from the big blind. The flop of {5-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} saw Gorey check-call a c-bet of 400. On the turn of {7-Hearts}, both men checked, but the river {J-Diamonds} saw Gorey check-call for 700 more, and Cheng turned over {J-Spades}{J-Hearts} for a rivered set of jacks. It wasn't good enough, as Gorey's {Q-Spades}{6-Diamonds} had turned the straight and he continues to float above starting stack. Cheng is down to just 25,300 after a poor start.

Shak Getting Involved

Niveau 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

The action folded to the player in the small blind and he raised to 250. Big blind Dan Shak called before both checked on {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. The {8-Diamonds} hit the turn and the small blind bet 325. Shak called in position and saw his opponent bet another 500 on the {2-Diamonds} river. Shak raised to 1,500 and the small blind folded.

The next hand the same player raised to 250 again, this time from the button. Dan Shak called from the small blind, the big blind came along for the ride as well. All three of them checked the {2-Spades}{8-Clubs}{J-Hearts} flop and the {10-Clubs} hit the turn. Shak bet out 500 and the big blind called. The player on button raised to 1,500 and Shak called, so did the big blind. The {Q-Diamonds} completed the board and Shak and the big blind checked. The player on the button hesitated for a second before he checked behind. The big blind showed {Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for the rivered top pair. The player on the button showed {Q-Spades}{9-Spades} for the turned straight and Shak open mucked his {A-Spades}{J-Spades}.

Shak is still hovering around starting stack.

Pocket Tens for Jan Rusnak

Niveau 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Four players each committed 1,200 preflop and then took turns checking around on the {7-Clubs}{q-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop. Two more checks on the {2-Clubs} turn opened the door for Sameer Aljanedi to bet 1,700, which prompted two folds.

PokerStars qualifier Jan Rusnak then check-called from early position and checked the {6-Hearts} river. Aljanedi decided to do the same, and then wound up mucking when Rusnak tabled the {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Rusnak chipped up to 34,000 after the hand while Aljanedi dropped to 28,500.
