Wellenbach Busts Smiljkovic in Setup Hand

Niveau 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Scott Wellenbach
Scott Wellenbach

Florian-Dimitrie Duta was the first casualty after coming back from the break and he was soon followed by Diogo Veiga. Daniel Smiljkovic followed them to the rail soon after and it was a huge setup hand that sent the German crashing out.

Scott Wellenbach raised first to act and Smiljkovic called in the big blind. The flop fell {K-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Smiljkovic check-called a bet of 70,000 before doing so again on the {Q-Spades} turn for 125,000.

The {7-Spades} river completed the board and Smiljkovic checked once more. Wellenbach bet 200,000 and called the shove of the German for 500,000 with [{Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. Smiljkovic only had {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for the inferior set and was sent to the rail.

{K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Petrangelo had by far the best hand with {K-Spades}{10-Hearts} as Kee showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}.

The river {A-Hearts} wasn't a card Kee was looking for and he exited the tournament area.

Massive Double for Difelice

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Alex Difelice defended his small blind against a raise by Jonathan Proudfoot and checked the flop of {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. Proudfoot continued for 27,000 and Difelice called before checking again the {A-Diamonds} on the turn. Proudfoot's second bet was worth 86,000 and Difelice check-raised to 290,000, which Proudfoot called.

After the {6-Spades} river, Difelice jammed for the size of the pot and Proudfoot called to see his {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} end up second best to Difelice's {A-Spades}{3-Spades} for the better full house.
