Alors que le Jour 2 avait vu près de 600 joueurs sauter en 6 niveaux de 75 minutes, il a fallu 3 heures de jeu pour faire tomber le field de 287 à 247 joueurs et entrer dans l'argent de ce Main Event PokerStars Championship Barcelona 2017.
Le début de Jour 3 a été fatal à Patrick Careriviere et Xuan Nguyen, les deux tricolores présents à l'entame qui n'ont pas atteint l'argent.
Jeff Gross, Steven van Zadelhoff, Per Hildebrand, Joni Jouhkimainen, Mikita Badziakouski et Upeshka De Silva ont fait le Jour 3 sans faire l'argent non plus. Ce sont finalement 19 tricolores qui ont encaissé un minimum de 8740€.
