Le Jour 1A du PokerStars Championship Panama à 5000$ l'entrée a rassemblé 103 joueurs et 43 ont franchi l'obstacle. Igor Yaroshevskyy s'est installé en tête du classement provisoire en emballant 219 600 jetons après 8 niveaux de 75 minutes de poker.
Tito Ortiz a volé la lumière au Russe... et cela pourrait continuer puisque l'ancien champion d'Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) a monté 182 000 jetons dans le même temps. 9e combattant introduit au Hall Of Fame de l'UFC, Ortiz est deuxième du chipcount provisoire.
