McAllister Shoves on Bonomo

Niveau 3 : 100/200, 25 ante
Justin Bonomo
Justin Bonomo

We picked up the action with 6,500 in the pot and a board reading {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{q-Clubs}.

Justin Bonomo, who yesterday finished third in the PokerStars Championship Panama $50,000 Super High Roller for $237,680, checked from middle position and then called a bet of 4,000 from Phillip McAllister in the cutoff.

When the {7-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Bonomo checked and McAllister asked to see his chips. Bonomo moved his arms to reveal approximately 16,000. McAllister, who had 16,500, proceeded to move all in and Bonomo quickly released.

Justin Bonomo is Clawing Back

Niveau 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Action folded around to the player in the cutoff who raised to 550. Justin Bonomo was in the big blind and decided to defend.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, and Bonomo checked. The cutoff bet 800 and Bonomo called.

The turn was the {q-Diamonds}. Both players checked.

The river was the {4-Clubs}. Both players checked again, and Bonomo tabled {a-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a pair of fives. His opponent showed {a-}{4-} for a pair of fours and sent his cards into the muck.

Justin Bonomo has had a tough start to the day, hovering around half-stack on the first break, but is working on making his way back.

Straight on Board, But Kaverman Doesn't Call

Niveau 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

We found Byron Kaverman facing a large bet of 10,000, roughly the size of the pot. He was under the gun and the board read {5-Spades}{6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, and PokerStars Team Pro Leo Fernandez had put him to the test for most of his remaining chips. Kaverman winged his cards into the muck eventually, ceding the pot.

At other tables, Jan-Eric Schwippert and Koray Aldemir took seats.

Stephen Chidwick Wins One

Niveau 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Action folded around to the button, who raised to 600. The small blind called, as did Stephen Chidwick from the big blind.

The flop came {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and all three players checked to the turn, which was the {10-Hearts}.

Once again, all three players checked.

The river was the {6-Clubs}. The small blind led out for 1,000 and Chidwick quickly raised to 2,700. The button folded, and the small blind went into the tank. Both players engaged in a brief stare-down before the small blind decided to call.

Chidwick tabled {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for two pair, nines and sixes. His opponent mucked his cards, sending the pot Chidwick's way.

Shark Cage in the Corner

Niveau 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

There's been some recent shuffling with additional entries that saw a new table get opened at the edge of the tournament area. It's a meat grinder of a setup over there, with Julian Stuer, Isaac Haxton, Mike Watson and Kenny Hallaert all moving to the table. Three-time bracelet winner Davidi Kitai joined them after the following hand:

Haxton and Stuer built a pot of exactly 6,000 preflop and both checked the {q-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop. Haxton, who was in the big blind, immediately check-folded to Stuer's 2,100 bet on the {k-Hearts} turn.

Cracked Aces Send Orpen to the Rail

Niveau 3 : 100/200, 25 ante
Orpen Kisacikoglu
Orpen Kisacikoglu

With 30,000 in the pot and a board reading {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, Jose Moran Guzman checked from under the gun and Orpen Kisacikoglu moved all in for 10,225.

Guzman only had 10,425 and he didn't seem excited by being put to the test. He tanked for a bit before making the call, and he was glad he did as his turned set of tens with the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} bested the {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} of Kisacikoglu.

Aido Cracks Aces to Send Yasar Back to Sweden

Niveau 3 : 100/200, 25 ante
Sergio Aido
Sergio Aido

We missed the action unfold, but we do know that on a board reading {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, Swedish player Ozkan Yasar got his stack of 21,000 all in on the turn against Spain's Sergio Aido.

Aido: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Yasar: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

Aido had flopped a set to crack aces, and it cost Yasar his tournament life as the useless {2-Spades} blanked on the turn.
