Ils étaient 140 en lice sur le Jour 3 du PokerStars Championship Prague 2017 pour seulement 127 places payées.
Maria Konnikova, Ihar Soika n'ont pas tenu jusqu'à un interminable main par main... qui s'est terminé par l'élimination simultanée de Mihai Manole et Andrzej Siemieniak. Les deux hommes se sont partagés les 8700€ de la 127e place et les 128 derniers survivants de ce PSC Prague ne seront donc pas repartis les mains vides !
Avec 12 tricolores au départ du Jour 3, et malgré quelques joueurs mal en point, le poker français a tenu son rang avec un sans faute. Tous les Bleus présents à l'entame de ce jour de paye sont entrés dans l'argent. Avec 5 niveaux de 90 minutes au programme, les trois quarts de nos représentants ont ensuite sauté.
Yorane Kerignard a passé ce moment fatidique du tournoi avec moins d'une blinde, il a rejoint la liste des bustos comme Sonny Franco, le Team Pro Unibet Quentin Lecomte, le Team Pro PMU François Tosques, Jean-Jacques Zeitoun, Alexis Fleur ou encore Samy Ouellani, éliminé à quelques encablures du Jour 4.

49 joueurs reviendront au Jour 4, samedi à partir de midi au Hilton de Prague. En tête du contingent tricolore en début de Jour 3, Kalidou Sow est toujours là. Avec 550 000 jetons à la reprise sur les blindes 6,000-12,000 (2,000), le Français peut largement envisager une grosse performance. Sa qualification pour le Jour 4 devrait déjà lui permettre de rentrer dans le Top 300 du classement GPI la semaine prochaine...
Dernier vainqueur français sur le circuit EPT, Jean Montury maîtrise parfaitement la structure du PSC. Le Nordiste a un peu moins de 20 blindes (227 000 jetons) mais il n'a pas dit son dernier mot... et sera en position sur le chipleader du tournoi, samedi.
Le patron du clan français est un habitué des grands rendez-vous : Pierre Calamusa. Le Team Pro Winamax s'est montré discret depuis le début de l'année, il a promis de finir en trombe et semble dans le bon tempo. Le vainqueur WSOP Paul Michaelis a gardé la tête du classement. En tête du tournoi depuis jeudi soir, l'Allemand débutera avec les commandes samedi pour le Jour 4. Avec 1,2 million de jetons Michaelis a encore largement de quoi faire souffrir ses 48 adversaires.
En vue en début de tournoi, le Tchèque Michal Mrakes est l'unique autre joueur à avoir emballé plus d'un million de jetons. C'est l'Américain Jason Wheeler qui complète le podium provisoire avec 931 000 jetons.
Avec 761 000 chips devant lui pour samedi, Alex Foxen s'est hissé dans le Top 10 provisoire. En finissant avec 723 000 pions, la Team Pro PokerStars Fatima Moreira de Melo a raté ce premier groupe. La championne olympique néerlandais a toutefois fait le show en table télé, sortant notamment un joueur en début de journée avec contre [xkx] avant de remporter deux coups à tapis où elle faisait face à deux adversaires ! La seconde fois elle a éliminé James Akenhead et Martin Staszko pour un strike impressionnant.
