Lodge Survives

Niveau 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

After an open and a call, Harry Lodge shoved all in on the button. It was 187,000 and both of his opponents who voluntarily entered the pot called. They checked a {3-Hearts}{j-Spades}{q-Diamonds} flop to bring a {10-Spades} turn. Ivan Soshnikov checked and quickly folded to a bet of around 180,000.

Lodge opened {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} for the nuts but he could only smile and shake his head when Thomas Lentrodt showed him {a-Spades}{k-Spades} for a freeroll draw. The river was a {9-Hearts}, enabling Lodge to chop the pot and survive.

Lee Wins Without Showing

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Kalidou Sow was first to act and opened for 35,000. His neighbor Hon Cheong Lee would turn out to be the only caller.

Sow bet 28,000 on {3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and 95,000 on the {K-Diamonds} turn. Lee called both times.

The river came the {Q-Diamonds} and Sow tanked for some time before checking. Lee took his time betting 105,000 and Sow folded after several minutes in the tank.

Jukka Paloniemi Eliminated

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Robert Heidorn was first to act and raised to 37,000. The action folded to Jukka Paloniemi in the big blind and he moved all in, for what appeared to be 450,000. Heidorn didn't hesitate for one second and called.

Robert Heidorn: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
Jukka Paloniemi: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

The flop of {3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and {J-Diamonds} turn were all safe for Paloniemi but the the {K-Spades} on the river did him in. The tournament came to an end for Paloniemi in place 38, Heidorn up to over 1.2 million.

Foxen Eliminates Frankland

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

Alex Foxen opened in middle position and called the shove of Mathew Frankland, who had 107,000 on the button.

Foxen: {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Frankland: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The {j-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds} gave Foxen a hammerlock with a flush draw and a pair but Frankland wriggled out and into the lead with the {q-Hearts} turn. However, an {a-Spades} river swung it back to Foxen for two pair and an elimination.

Mordvinov Won't Show

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Michal Mrakes bet 39,000 from the big blind on a board of {10-Spades}{j-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Aleksandr Mordvinov made it 152,000 from the button. Mrakes called to see the {a-Hearts} river. He checked and Mordvinov moved in, toppling some stacks over as he did so. Mrakes got the count: 311,000. He thought about a minute and folded.

"Show the bluff," he said with a smile.

Mordvinov silently dragged the pot.
