Majewski Takes a Bite out of the Chip Leader

Niveau 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Michal Majewski just took a chunk out of Daniyar Aubakirov's stack.

With a complete board reading {7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, Majewski led out with a bet of 5,000 and Aubakirov raised to just over 13,000. Majewski took a moment before making the call. Aubakirov tabled {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Majewski showed {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for a rivered flush and was pushed the sizable pot.

Kim Spikes a Lucky Double

Niveau 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Sergey Trenin raised to 1,100 and the action folded over to Vadim Kim, who moved in for his last 5,200. Once the action folded back to Trenin and he looked around if any other player was in the hand, then called in a heartbeat.

Sergey Trenin: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Vadim Kim: {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

The {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop gave Kim trips jacks, and he only had to fear the case king in the deck all of a sudden. Neither the {Q-Spades} turn nor the {8-Clubs} river provided just that and Kim doubled.

Ramos the Aces Magnet

Niveau 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Felipe Ramos raised to 1,200 and Igor Arekin in the cutoff as well as Vyacheslav Bondartsev in the big blind called. On the {10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop, the action checked to Ramos and he continued for 1,600. Arekin folded and Bondartsev called before checking the {K-Spades} turn. Ramos now made it 5,000 to go and picked up a call.

The {J-Spades} river slowed down both players and they checked. Bondartsev showed {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and that ended up second-best to the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} of Ramos. Fellow PokerStars Team Pro Chris Moneymaker asked from one seat over "how do you get aces so much?" and Ramos grinned back with an "I am a magnet" on his lips.

Arutun Saakyn Eliminated by Mikhail Korotkikh

Niveau 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Mikhail Korotkikh limped from early position, as did the player in the hijack. The cutoff then raised to 2,500 before Arutun Saakyn three-bet all in for 17,125.

Korotkikh then moved all in himself for 24,325. The other two players folded.

Saakyn showed {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Korotkikh nonchalantly waved his hand as he turned over {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

The board ran out {7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{9-Spades} and Saakyn was eliminated. Meanwhile, the inquiry from the players in the hijack and cutoff continued, with both saying that they would have won the hand and eliminated two players.

Niveau 6 : 250/500, 75 ante
Dmitry Yurasov
Dmitry Yurasov

Gevorg Aleksanyan raised to 1,100 on the button and Dmitry Yurasov in the small blind three-bet to 3,700. Aleksanyan four-bet to 10,500 and Yurasov called, then checked the {Q-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop. Aleksanyan continued for 5,000 and was called.

The {8-Diamonds} turn went check, check, and Aleksanyan took another stab at the pot when Yurasov checked the {K-Diamonds} river. He bet 7,000 and Yurasov eventually called to see his opponent turn over {A-Spades}{3-Spades} for a bluff. Yurasov had that beat with {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and claimed the pot, their table broke right after the hand was over.

On the three-way turn showing {9-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, Alexandr Prysev and Timur Bubnov checked out of the blinds and Igor Signaevsky bet 4,000 into a pot of 7,500. Only Prysev called and checked the {2-Diamonds} river once again. Signaevsky checked behind and was shown [Qc8cx] for a busted gutshot by Prysev, raking in the pot with {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a set of nines.
