Hunt Wins Pots Against Shylko and Dvoress

Niveau 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

After just shoving all in against Aliaksandr Shylko on the river, Matthew Hunt was back on the horse in another pot versus Daniel Dvoress. Hunt raised to 100,000 on the button and Dvoress defended out of the big blind.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Dvoress check-called a bet of 70,000 from Hunt. The turn brought the {j-Clubs} and Dvoress checked again. Hunt splashed in a bet of 165,000 and that was enough to force a fold from Dvoress.

Platinum Pass winner Omar Del Pino’s short stack was in the middle against Blake Bohn in a blind battle as the hands were turned up.

Omar Del Pino: {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Blake Bohn: {4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}

Del Pino had Bohn dominated until the {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop produced a pair of deuces. The {k-Spades} turn and {7-Spades} river were no help, ending Del Pino’s run.

Magnus Flips for a Double

Niveau 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Nadya Magnus
Nadya Magnus

Dylan Destefano raised to 110,000 in the cutoff and Nadya Magnus shoved all in for 1,100,000 in the small blind. Maxi Lehmanski re-shoved all in for 2,135,000 in the big blind and Destefano gave it some thought before folding.

Nadya Magnus: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Maxi Lehmanski: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

It was a coin flip and the flop of {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} left Magnus in the lead with her pair of sevens. The {4-Hearts} on the turn and the {5-Spades} on the river changed nothing and Magnus let out a sigh relief as she doubled up.

The Birth of Tragedy: Nitsche Bluffs Into Full House

Niveau 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Dominik Nitsche
Dominik Nitsche

Thomas Eychenne was in the big blind in a heads-up pot against Dominik Nitsche and got to the river on a board of {q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{k-Clubs}.

The full action is unclear, but somehow all of Nitsche's chips ended up in the middle on the river as he moved all in with Eychenne covered. Eychenne quickly called with the effective stack of 1,815,000.

Eychenne showed {k-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for a full house before Nitsche sheepishly turned over {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for an epic nine-high bluff. The German was left with crumbs as the Frenchman shot to the top of the counts.

Jaffe Caught Bluffing; Time Banks His Way to Next Pay Jump

Niveau 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Jonathan Jaffe
Jonathan Jaffe

In the previous level, Maxi Lehmanski opened to 80,000 from under the gun and was called by Jonathan Jaffe from the small blind.

The {k-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop checked through to the {10-Spades} turn, where Jaffe check-called for 135,000.

On the {7-Clubs} river, Jaffe checked once more and Lehmanski fired for 315,000. Jaffe then raised to 715,000, leaving 55,000 behind. Lehmanski went into the tank and used several time banks before making the call.

Jaffe had {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for ace-high but Lehmasnki had a pair of kings with his {k-}{q-}.

The following hand, when action was on Jaffe, 40 players remained. The current payout for 40th was $70,700 while 39th would receive $81,400.

He used up all of his time banks before folding and it worked out for the American as Norbert Szecsi was all-in for his tournament life on a different table. The board read {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and that's when the chips went into the middle. Szecsi, with {q-Spades}{j-Clubs} was drawing dead as he was up against Chris Moorman's {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. The {4-Clubs} completed the board and confirmed Szecsi's bust out.

Destefano and Rodilla Claim More Victims

Luis Garcia Moreno

The action folded around to Dylan Destefano in the small blind who jammed all in. Luis Garcia Moreno was down to just over 200,000 in the big blind and called off his stack.

Luis Garcia Moreno: {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Dylan Destefano: {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

The flop fell {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{8-Spades} to give Destefano a pair of queens and the lead. The {5-Clubs} and {k-Diamonds} runout was no help to Moreno who headed to the payout desk.

Just moments before, Hugo Rodilla scored a double knockout by eliminating the short stack of Jonathan Jaffe and Maxi Lehmanski who was down to 20 big blinds as well.

Nacho Barbero: {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Andre Marques: {a-Clubs}{4-Spades}

Niclas Thumm

Niclas Thumm open-jammed a stack of 445,000 from the cutoff and Renato Minicuci re-shoved from the button with a bigger stack to get things heads-up.

Niclas Thumm: {a-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Renato Minicuci: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The flop landed {4-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts} to increase Thumm's outs with a wheel draw, but it was the {a-Spades} on the turn that gave him the lead for a double ahead of the {k-Diamonds} river.
