Super High Roller Bowl 2017 : Christoph Vogelsang triomphe pour 6 Millions

Niveau 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Christoph Vogelsang - 1st Place
Christoph Vogelsang - 1st Place

Jake Schindler Eliminated in 2nd Place ($3.6 million)

Niveau 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Jake Schindler
Jake Schindler

Jake Schindler limped in with {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, and Christoph Vogelsang checked {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, and Vogelsang checked. Schindler bet 100,000 and Vogelsang called. On the {7-Hearts} turn, Vogelsang checked again. This time, Schindler bet big with 400,000 into a pot of 500,000. Vogelsang came out raising with 1.5 million. Schindler called, seeing a {2-Clubs} fall.

Vogelsang bet 2.3 million and dropped his head to better prevent Schindler from getting a read. Schindler thought briefly and then announced he was all in for 6.2 million. Without any time extensions left, Vogelsang had to think fast, and the decision he came to was a call. Schindler's bluff had been caught, and Vogelsang stood up, slapped his cards down and pumped both fists in celebration with a wide grin on his face.

Vogelsang Rivers Wheel to Double

Niveau 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Christoph Vogelsang
Christoph Vogelsang

Christoph Vogelsang limped the button and Jake Schindler raised to 500,000 from the big blind holding {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}.

Vogelsang called as the flop landed {3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Schindler bet out 275,000. Vogelsang called and the turn landed the {Q-Hearts}.

Schindler cut out a bet of 900,000 and Vogelsang called as the {4-Diamonds} completed the board on the river.

Schindler now tapped the table, and with the action on Vogelsang he moved all in for 3.2 million and Schindler snap-called.

Vogelsang tabled his {A-Hearts}{5-Spades} for a wheel and Schindler shrugged his shoulders and tossed his set of eights to the muck.

Stefan Schillhabel opened on the button for 135,000 with {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}. Jake Schindler flatted with {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, and Christoph Vogelsang picked up {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} in the big blind. He reraised to 400,000. Schillhabel shoved, and Vogelsang quickly called for 1.6 million.

The flop came {j-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}, giving Schillhabel top pair. However, he could not run down the queens as a {5-Hearts} turn and then a {6-Diamonds} river hit.

Jake Schindler Leads Last Three of $300,000 Super High Roller Bowl

Welcome back to the ARIA Resort & Casino for Day 5 of the $300,000 Super High Roller Bowl!

Several days ago a group of poker players with varying poker skills and accomplishments all anted up $300,000 to take a seat in the third installment of the Super High Roller Bowl. The action on the felt was intense, chaotic, and of the highest quality as the 56-player starting field was reduced firstly to a final table, then to an in-the-money final seven, and now to the last three. These final three players will be thanking their lucky stars after navigating one of the tournament fields ever assembled, and although they are already guaranteed a $2 million payout, their eyes will be set on the $3.6 million payout for second, but most importantly the $6 million first prize.

German Stefan Schillhabel may have been one of the least well-known players not only on the final table, but also in the entire field. However, Schillhabel has crafted a very impressive poker resume that includes over $2.4 million in lifetime earnings with a WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star Championship victory in March 2016 for $1,298,000 the highlight of his results that stretch back to 2013 and include five tournament wins. Schillhabel enters this final day of play with 885,000 in chips; roughly 15 big blinds.

Christoph Vogelsang is no slouch at poker as he has been one of the regular names in high roller tournaments all across the world for several years now. Vogelsang's impressive poker resume includes over $7.7 million in lifetime earnings and a 5th-place on Germany's All Time Money List (with the possibility of moving up to 2nd with a victory today). However what it lakes is a finish better then the one he has locked up already. For Vogelsang, he has appeared at nine final tables and has four 3rd-place finishes to his name. If Vogelsang is to break his win-less drought, there is no better tournament to do it in then this Super High Roller Bowl, and after ending the penultimate day of play with 5,245,000 in chips — roughly 87 big blinds — he is definitely in position to make a run at it.

Finally we have Jake Schindler, the lone hope for the local USA crowd. Schindler came into the final table with the chip lead, and he'll carry that into three-handed play after ending play with a whopping 10,670,000 in chips; or roughly 178 big blinds. Although just 27 years old, Schindler has already accumulated over $9.2 million in lifetime earnings with his most notable results coming in the 2014 PCA $25,500 High Roller and the 2014 Hard Rock Poker Open $100,000 Super High Roller where he was victorious. However it is his results here at ARIA that are astounding as Schindler has managed to collect 5 wins and 12 six-figure cashes; the biggest of which was a share of a three-way chop in 2016 for over $835,000 in a $100,000 High Roller event.
