Simpson told us that with the big blind sitting out, fellow Ambassador Alexandre Reard opened and Simpson shoved for around 33,000 with {a-}{j-} suited.

The button woke up with {a-}{k-} and Reard folded. The {k-}{2-}{2-} had Simpson drawing all but dead and he was sent to the exit.
