Ersen Hits a Straight
Niveau 13
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Table 4, Pierre De Almeida was clearly in a very tough spot. On a board of 5♦7♣J♥8♥Q♣ with already 68,000 in the pot, the French player bet 25,000 from the cutoff on the river, then Alexandru Ersen raised all in with the biggest stack on the button.
Talking to himself, De Almeida took a long moment to make a decision. Then the clock was called, and he eventually called.
Pierre De Almeida: XxXx
Alexandru Ersen: 10♠9♦
Fuming, De Almeida stood up and left when Ersen revealed his straight. Thanks to this pot, Ersen has now 300,000 chips.
