Peters Triples; Bonomo Bust Katz

Niveau 9 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
David Peters
David Peters

Cary Katz limped in from the hijack seat and action folded to the blinds where David Peters moved all in from the small for 61,000. Justin Bonomo was in the big blind and he moved all in over the top with a covering stack on both Peters and Katz. Katz dropped into the tank, using a time extension, but eventually called, putting himself at risk for about 150,000.

Justin Bonomo: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Cary Katz: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
David Peters: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}{10-Clubs} which gave Peters the main pot with top set. Bonomo was entitled to the rest of Katz's stack with ace-high as Katz failed to improve. With that, Peters tripled to over 180,000 while Bonomo earned a few chips in the side pot by eliminating Katz.

Broadway on Board

Niveau 8 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Rainer Kempe got his stack of 272,000 all in preflop and was in a big flip for his tournament life against Alex Foxen, who barely had him covered.

Kempe: {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Foxen: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Kempe was ahead but not after the {q-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} flop paired Foxen. The {10-Diamonds} turn improved Foxen to a Broadway straight, and Kempe was looking for an ace on the river just to chop. Fortunately for him, he got it when the {a-Diamonds} peeled off.

Smith, Davies, and Schulman Stuck in a Wormhole

Niveau 8 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

There was around 30,000 chips in the pot on the flop of {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} when action checked to Seth Davies on the button. He put out a bet of 8,000. Dan Smith was next to act in the big blind and he dropped into the tank.

During this time, the dealer called over the tournament director, claiming that she thought the shot clock was moving too fast. Sean Winter decided to pull out his phone to test this theory and found that the shot clock was in fact moving at the correct speed.

Smith, who was in the tank during this time then raised to 28,000. Nick Schulman called from middle position and Seth Davies called as well.

The turn was the {q-Hearts} and Smith went into the tank again. He thought for a bit, then moved all in for 112,000. Schulman used a time bank and eventually folded and Davies folded quickly as well so Smith took down the pot.

After the hand, Sean Winter apologized for his actions during the hand. Smith said it was fine, and that he'd never been in a hand where time stopped moving in a three-bet pot.

"Yeah we were kind of stuck in a wormhole there for a bit," Davies said.

Ali Imsirovic
Ali Imsirovic

Ali Imsirovic opened to 7,000 from the hijack, Isaac Haxton, Jake Schindler, Cary Katz, and Justin Bonomo all called. The dealer spread out {5-Spades}{j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} on the flop and all players checked to the {a-Hearts} on the turn.

Action checked to Imsirovic, he bet 13,000, only Katz and Bonomo stuck around to see the {4-Clubs} fall on the river. Katz and Bonomo both checked to Imsirovic who fired in 38,000.

Both of his opponents took a moment before hitting the fold button and Imsirovic took down the pot, adding even more chips to his already healthy stack.

Dennis Bliedsen
Dennis Bliedsen

Brandon Adams raised under the gun to 8,000. Dennis Blieden called next to act.

The flop was {j-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Adams continued with a bet of 13,000. Blieden just called.

On the {k-Diamonds} turn, Adams bet again, making it 28,000. Blieden waited for a few seconds, then moved all in with a covering stack over Adams for about 90,000. Adams thought briefly, then released, so Blieden took down another pot.
