Big O

Richard Ashby limped in for 500 before Danny Fuhs raised to 2,000 from the small blind. The action folded back to Ashby, and he put Fuhs all in for his last 3,600, and Fuhs obliged with a call.

Ashby: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Fuhs: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The dealer spread a {4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{X-} board, and Ashby made a wheel on the river to eliminate Fuhs early here on Day 2.

Henson Stays Afloat

Niveau 11 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Ray Henson was all-in for his last 3,125, trying to double against Jesse Hampton, who finished third in the Mixed Triple Draw yesterday.

Henson made a strong hand as he already had {A-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} on sixth street.

"Oh, you already made a straight," Hampton observed. His cards were quickly turned face down and sent to the muck after he bricked the river while Henson turned up his {J-Diamonds} to make things official.

Pot-Limit Omaha

Josh Arieh's original table broke and Arieh just took his newly assigned seat. He was immediately involved in a four-way pot on the {Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} flop, betting 1,700 out of the cutoff. Only John Esposito on the button was interested in seeing the turn card, calling while both players in blinds folded.

The turn came {9-Spades} and Arieh checked to Esposito who slid in 8,000. Arieh mucked and turned to concentrate on stacking his chips he brought to the table.

Cantu Squeezes Double with Eight-Smooth

Niveau 11 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Catching the action after the first draw with around 3,000 in the pot, Xunen Zheng checked to Brandon Cantu who bet 3,850. Zheng responded by pushing out a stack of yellow 1,000-denomination chips to put Cantu all in.

With 15,150 total in his stack, Cantu called.

Zheng stood pat and Cantu drew one. On the final draw, Zheng stood pat and Cantu drew one.

Zheng: {8-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}
Cantu: {8-}{5-}{4-}{2-}

Cantu needed a seven, six, or three to stay alive, and he begin squeezing his card like a pro baccarat player.

From the sides, then to the top, then back to sides, eventually Cantu slammed over his {3-} to make an eight-smooth and ensured his double to roughly 34,000.

Vieira Finds More than a Dub

Joao Vieira
Joao Vieira

Pot-Limit Omaha

Joao Vieira was in the big blind, playing 3,975 total. After two limps from early positions, Kyle Kloeckner made it 2,200 to go on the button. The small blind released his hand but Vieira moved all in.

The first limper folded quickly, but Tim Frazin thought for a moment before eventually stepping aside and paving the way for Kloeckner to try bust Vieira himself. Kloecker called for the rest and the cards were on their backs.

Joao Vieira: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Kyle Kloeckner: {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{K-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

The board ran {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, safe enough for Vieira who improved to 9,200. Frazin shouted that he'd have it if he called, but that was history.
